Chapter 4

~ Kamryn ~

When I woke up I knew right away that I was not in my bed.

I shot up and looked down to see a sleeping Shawn, snoring softly. He looks so cute when he sleeps.

No! Stop it Kamryn, he is only here to sing a duet with you.

I shook my head slowly getting up careful not to wake Shawn.

I tiptoed up stairs and hopped in the shower.

After my shower I put on a pair of black high waisted shorts and a white Nirvana band Tee, I French braided my hair and applied light makeup.

Before skipping downstairs.

Shawn was already up and watching TV when I got back down.

"Morning" he said in his husky morning voice, which I might add was very sexy.

"Morning" I smiled, making my way to the kitchen.

I took out a bowl and filled it with Fruity Pebbles.

I turned around to come face to face with Shawn.

"Shit!" I gasped.

"You scared the crap out of me!" I said hitting his chest lightly, he chuckled grabbing himself a bowl and filling it with Frosted Flakes.

We took our seats on the lounge and flicked through channels until stopping on the cartoons... because you're never to old for cartoons.

Shawn's phone started to go off, he excused himself and went into the kitchen to answer it.

I checked through my phone while I was waiting for him, nothing, like usual.

I switched it off just as Shawn came back into the room.

"Hey, um I have to go, I have to go see a few of the boys to organise something but I'll be back in a few hours, call me if you need anything" he finished, giving me a hug when I walked him to the door.

Great home alone, I couldn't call Sidney because she is going out with her family... I guess I'll just have to suck it up until Shawn gets back.

About 30 minutes after Shawn left my front door burst in and too my surprise it was my father, he walked straight past me not even acknowledging my presence.

"Well hello to you too, Dad" I mumbled when he walked past, he stopped and walked towards me. He didn't look very happy.

"What did you just say?" He snarled.

"I said hello" I answered with as much sass as I could bring fourth.

"I don't like this attitude, Kamryn!" He said raising his voice slightly.

"Yeah? Well I don't like that my father's too busy for his own daughter!" I yelled, glaring at him.

Before I could process what was happening I felt a burning sensation on my left cheek.

"Don't you ever talk to me like that again!" He growled, with his arm in the air, he walked away without another word.

He grabbed something from the desk and left.

As soon as he left I let the tears fall out.

My dad had never laid a hand on me before.

I didn't know what else to do so I dialled the fist person who came to my head...

Shawn

He picked up on the first ring.

"H-hello?" I said between sobs.

"Kamryn? What's wrong?" Shawn said, his voice riddled with worry.

"I'm on my way!" Was the last thing he said before the line went dead.

Shawn arrived half an hour later, by now my sobs had died down but as soon as Shawn engulfed me into a hug they came pouring down again.

"What happened?" Shawn asked holding onto my shoulders.

"M-my d-dad he slapped m-me" I stuttered still sobbing, Shawn's eyes went wide and he pulled me back into a hug.

"It's okay, everything will be okay" he cooed, stroking my hair.

"I never thought he would hit me" I said once I had composed myself.

"It's okay, hey I have an idea!" Shawn said excitedly, I just looked at him signalling for him to continue.

The reason I went over to Cam and Nash's house was to organise a get together kind of thing we had rented out this cabin near this beach that no one knew about

We would have all to ourselves, which meant no crazy fans.

Maybe I could ask Kamryn to come and she could get her mind off of all the drama.

"I was wondering if you'd like to come on a kind of vacation thing with me and the boys?" I asked, her face lit up.

"What boys?" She asked excitedly, I chuckled.

"Oh you know like Cameron, Nash, Matthew, Jack and Jack, Aaron, Hayes, Taylor, and Carter" I said with a smirk, it looked like she was going to explode.

But her smile quickly faded and it turned into a frown.

"But I wouldn't want to intrude on your vacation" she said looking away.

I picked up her chin with my index finger and turned her head to face me.

"You won't be intruding, they want to meet you!" I said smiling, her smile soon returned and she nodded.

"Okay then" I grinned.

"I'll go call the boys and see if it's okay" I said jumping up from the couch.

I walked to the kitchen and dialled Cam's number.

He picked up on the third ring.

"Hey Shawny!" He practically yelled.

"Hey Cam I was calling to ask you a question"

"Shoot"

"Well I was wondering if I could bring Kamryn along?" I asked biting my lip, anxious for an answer. The line went silent and all hope drained out of me...

"Of course man! We'd love to meet your girl!" I rolled my eyes.

"She isn't my girl" I said through gritted teeth, yep that's the last time I tell Cam anything.

"What ever you say man" I rolled my eyes again and hung up.

When I walked back into the lounge room Kamryn was looking at me with questioning eyes, I just smiled.

"They said yes, we leave tomorrow" I announced she jumped up and hugged me running up to her room to pack.
