MR. SCHUESTER WALKS IN THE CLASSROOM LATE AS HE IS EVERYDAY

"alright, lets gather round" he instructs, pulling the students away from whatever they were doing before he decided to show up. In Santana's case, that meant to stop stretching her legs out for no reason in the back row. "sorry I'm late guys. I was with principal Figgins" he takes a seat on the piano bench "bad news guys, Puckerman's in juvy"

the whole classroom gasps, like it's some sort of surprise

"it really was just a matter of time" Tina says emotionless

Quinn pipes up, lifting her head from her notes she was just studying "what'd he do!?"

"He drove his mom's volvo through the front of a convenience store and drove off with the ATM" Mr. Schuester explains causing most of us to laugh except Rachel and Finn AKA the buzzkills

"a-and when is he getting out?" Rachel asks

"unknown" Mr. Schue says confused

"he's the dumbest person on the planet" Brittany says, "and that's coming from me"

"guys" Mr. Schuester says "let's have some sympathy?"

"sympathy for a guy who ROBBED A STORE?" I ask "Hell to the naw" I say earning a glare from Mercedes that I knew was going to come with the territory

"For a guy who put his needs before the team's?" Finn says "we need his voice, and his bad boy stage presence" he speaks up louder

Mr. Schue looks like he's about to wack someone "we can't look at this like a crisis. it's an opportunity"

you've got to be kidding me

"for what?" Quinn says, "further embarrassment and humiliation?" she asks

"For welcoming, our new member" Mr. Schuester stands up and I immediately realize who's about to run in through the choir room door "Sam Evans" He points

Sam jogs in holding his books under his arm

"how's it going"

"there he is!"

I see Quinn look up in his direction which causes my blood to boil a little bit. She just can't have everything

Finn leans into Rachel "that's the guy I recruited but never showed" He whispers

"Hey everybody" He shakes Mr. Schue's hand before he makes eye contact with me, making me blush uncontrollably "I'm Sam, Sam, I am. And I don't like green eggs and ham"

In the awkward silence Santana says loudly "oh wow, he has no game" which prompts me to shove her as I continue smiling at my crush

"okay!" Finn breaks the tension "this is gonna be great" he hops out of his seat and walks up to the boy "you're not gonna regret joining Sam" He points to Sam "this is Sam" he says to Rachel "you can sit right there" he directs the blonde as Rachel claps

"alright" Mr. Schue who suddenly appears over at the white board that reads duets says "question for the group. Can someone tell me what a duet is"

"a blanket" Brittany says confidently, too confidently

Mr. Schue continues talking as I encourage Britt that she'll "get it next time"

"a duet is when two voices join to become one" He says, walking around the piano making his way to the front of the classroom "great duets, are like a great marriage."
