"Is there a reason why you're so eager to come on patrol with us?" Paul asked a little worriedly as he walked down a path with Mingan as Sam walked in front of them. Mingan smiled liking the slight wariness on his face because everyone had reacted the same way when she said she was going with them.
Embry on the other hand was objecting the whole time until finally, he gave up after a long talk with Mingan. Yet after a few seconds, her smile wiped from her face as she thought about the feeling she's been having all day.
Paul was slightly taken back at the girl's sudden change of attitude so he was on high alert even more curious about why she was going with him and Sam. "Just a feeling" She answered with a quiet tone as she crossed her arms over her chest.
Just as Paul was going to ask what she meant Sam brought the two's attention towards him. "Paul go phase and take the right outlines of the territory. I'll take the left." He said with a loud rough tone making Paul nod.
"I'll see you later" Paul winked playfully before quickly running before jumping up to phase and then making his way to where Sam told him to patrol. "You're gonna be okay right?" Sam asked once Paul was gone.
Even if he tried to look like he didn't care everyone knew that Sam was just as worried as everyone else. I mean Mingan was the one that helped out the pack from the moment she got into the pack.
"I'll be fine" Mingan cooed softly as she smiled at the Alpha "now get going," She said patting his back lightly to get him going since he was always strict with patrols including himself. Giving her one last nod Sam did the same Paul had done but going the opposite direction.
When she was finally alone she started walking through the forest getting closer and closer to the river where their territory ended and the Cullen's territory started. Humming a soft chant in her head she took one last step now standing right next to the river.
As a witch, she always had a third sense of things that were going to happen. Ever since she was little whenever something was going to happen whether bad or good she always knew something would come.
And right now her third sense was so strong that she knew where exactly to be. Standing in the quiet woods she closed her eyes before muttering a soft chant under her breath. Being a witch had its perks yet but at times like this, she wished she was a half breed to be able to have super hearing and such.
She repeated the chant over and over again as all of her senses were boosted up into a high. With those words, it was like the forest was her as she listened, saw, and even smelt everything that was in the forest.
"Are you sure this is where you saw them?" A blonde Cullen asked staring at a pixie-haired girl as four other vampires stood around them. Immediately Mingan knew who they were from the obvious appearance but also that they stood in Cullen's territory.
"She's almost here" the pixie-haired vampire whispered as she stared into the distance trying to focus on where she saw the two vampires and completely ignoring the wary feeling as though someone was watching them.
