Mingan was holding on to Embry to dear life as he jogged still keeping up with Paul and the others even with her on his back. She knew Bella was gonna give birth tonight from the moment she opened her eyes.
It was the only reason why she was coming but the boys didn't know that. She just made up the excuse of saying that she wanted to see Jacob and the others since they were calling for them to make a deal.
When they got there Mingan hopped off of Embry's back quickly to look at the four shifters she hadn't seen in weeks. "This isn't your territory anymore," Paul said glaring at them even though his thoughts were swimming with Ivy. Where was she?
Jared stood beside him not saying anything as his eyes settled on to Elike's form as she stood behind Seth and Jacob and beside Leah. The shifter was trying her best to focus on Paul or Embry and Mingan but slowly she brought her eyes to lock with Jared.
The boy looked at her with longing eyes as he gave her half a smile and she did the same before placing their attention back to the conversation the others were having.
"How's the new family working out?" Paul continued before finally Mingan elbowed him in the stomach to shut him up. Paul listened shutting up since he was basically dissing his imprint's family.
"you done?" Jacob called out as he looked at Paul "you coming home, Jake?" Quil asked stepping on the other side of Mingan as Embry wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her in close so she wouldn't slide off the small hill.
Jacob lightly shook his head "Not until I finish this." "What do you mean?" "I want Sam to take back Seth and the girls" Jacob then said and immediately the three were objecting but they shut up once Jacob turned towards them commanding them to be quiet.
Turning back towards the pack Jacob continued "I want them safe. And I want this over" All Mingan wanted to do was go down there and slap Jacob for even thinking about coming back.
She was secretly trying to help him and the Cullens with the Ointment and stone but also making sure the pack didn't take too much of a large step-like actually killing the Cullens.
Ivy was running with Emmet breathing heavily as she listened to the two familiar wolves that attacked her follow after them. Picking up the pace she stomped her foot on the ground creating an ice wall to slow them down a little bit.
"I need Sam to wait until Bella's been separated from the problem" Jacob continued "You mean till she's dead." "Ease up, Paul" Embry voiced out seeing as Mingan was basically trembling with anger from both Paul and Jacob's words.
Moving his hand to lightly rub Mingan's back Embry turned back to Jacob "Then what?" He asked as Paul stared at him since usually, Embry didn't fight or even say anything to the others.
He was the one that kept quiet and followed the pack but there were times he voiced out which was only for Mingan. He was protective of her and would do anything for the girl. Anything.
