Mingan had just woken up from a bad dream she's been having for the past few days. She currently sat outside on her porch actually smoking a cigarette. She knew it was bad for you but with the constant stress of her dream, this was what she picked up on doing to relax her.
Everyone knew since they could smell it on her but since she was an adult they didn't stop her. Embry at first questioned her but after millions of reassurance from her, he stopped speaking but still gave her lingering looks before going to bed.
He knew about the dreams just expected for her to come to him when she was ready so he laid off her. Though that didn't mean he wouldn't be awake waiting for her in bed to come back.
Sighing Mingan flicked the ash of the cigarette before bringing it back to her lips and took a drag from the cancer stick. Her body tensing up as she inhaled the smoke before relaxing as she let out the smoke through her nose.
When the ash of the cigarette started to burn her fingers she tossed the used stick on the ground before stomping on it with the heel of her foot. She leaned into the swing more as she stared into the sky to think about the reoccurring dream.
It was the same one being played on replay every time she went to sleep. She saw Bella but at the same time, it wasn't Bella. It was Bella but was pregnant and looking as though she was dying.
Mingan knew this was a sign and this was going to come in quickly and she knew that if push comes to shove Jacob would leave and that automatically means Seth and Leah leaving but maybe Paul if he knew his imprint was going to be in danger.
Mingan wanted to help Bella if it came to that but she wasn't gonna leave Embry. No matter what she would never gonna leave his side. He was her everything and even if the world was against him she would be right there next to him taking the world on.
Closing her eyes Mingan took a deep breath to calm herself down before finally standing up to head back inside. Unlike usual Embry didn't act like he was sleeping.
No, he laid on his side waiting for Mingan to enter the room. Once she did Embry didn't say anything but hold his arms open for her to join him. Relieved to see him awake Mingan joined him with a loud thump after jumping on the bed.
The room was silent but comfortable silence since Embry knew tomorrow Mingan would tell him. He just knew. Nuzzling her face into his chest Mingan curled against him before muttering a soft reminder of loving him.
Doing the same Embry place a long but soft kiss on her forehead before shutting his eyes to fall back asleep actually exceeding now that his imprint was in his arms.
