While I was passed out I fell into some kind of dream. I say 'some kind of' because it was definitely by far the weirdest one yet.

I was on a cold wooden floor and for a moment it felt like I had just woken up. I couldn't remember myself falling asleep though, and things were all a bit...fuzzy. There was a bed across from me but that was about it. As I turned around, trying to find what I was supposed to be looking at my eyes landed back to the bed. Something in it moved, or I guess more like someone.

I didn't want to be a creep but I did walk over to the figure. I put an arm out and said, "hey, hey wake up."

And that is where it got even weirder--he did! He could hear me. The part of me that was still saying this was a dream was left utterly dumbfounded.

He was a boy, probably no older than me. He had close cropped hair but even that was hard to make out. I could tell he was tall though as he jumped out of bed.

"What is it?" He asked. "Wait, who are you?"

I saw no point in lying so I said, "I'm Joey. You look really...blurry."

Okay that definitely was a strange thing to say but it was totally true. Like I previously mentioned, I have great eyesight. Somehow though, in that moment it looked as though I should have been wearing glasses.

As I was waiting for him to respond he looked at me closer. "You too actually. I've never seen you around. Are you new?"

"Umm," I was completely confused. "No I- where am I? Where are my friends?"

Somehow he just looked even more puzzled than I did. "You're the one who woke me up. I have no idea what you're even talking about."

"Who are you?" I asked, getting defensive. "Tell me!"

"I'm Jason."

My eyebrows raised, "Jason?"

And then I woke up for real.

I was in a rowboat that had a small makeshift sail made out of grey uniform fabric. As my eyes peeked open I saw Annabeth standing above me.

"Joey?" She said. "Oh gods, I thought you hit your head too hard or something! You freaked me out."

I sat up and looked around. "Hit my head?"

"Yeah, when you passed out. I tried to catch you but the boat moved and you fell right to the floor." Annabeth explained.

Then it all came rushing back to me. "Percy! Where is he? What-"

"Calm down." Annabeth said. "He's right over there."

She pointed over to where Percy lied, drooling onto the wooden floor of the boat. I walked over and brushed a piece of his black hair out of his face.

"I thought he-"

"Yeah," Annabeth sighed. "Me too."

I turned to her. "What happened?"

"After you passed out? The boat exploded and-"

"Wait," I stopped her. "We were on the boat, how are we even still alive?"

She sat down next to me. "I grabbed you and got into a rowboat. Then I looked up and Percy was falling. He hit the water and if he were any other one of us he would have been dead."
