Show Me What Love Is

**I wrote this song from the feeling of not knowing what love is, and once you find love give it to those who need it more than you. Just being true to yourself and loving those who deserve it, even if they don't think they do.**

I hide in the shadows, while I wait for the fear to die.

And I began to cry.

I want to let go, I want to let it all out.

I'm tired of camping in the background,

waiting for you to tell me this is right.

You curse the sky and tell me to love.

How do I love when I've never been taught what it is.

Show me what love is.

I want to give it all away to those who have died inside.

They fight for the thing they want most, but never receive.

Give me a moment to realise I have the power to be

the love they need, something they don't expect from me.

I wanna give them my love, so they can live and be free.

I'm stepping out of the darkness into the light.

The light I found on my own.

I don't need your words, I don't need your speeches.

I know who I am, without you whispering in my ear.

I don't care what you say anymore.

I'm set free from your tongues,

I'm gonna follow my heart for the first time.

I'm on my own, and I'm leaving this place of chains.

And I'm going to find love.

Show me what love is.

I want to give it all away to those who have died inside.

You don't feel the hurt till you're free from the pain.

You can't see what's lurking in the dark till you're given light.

Look inside yourself to find true happiness,

And know you have what it takes to love.

Now you know what love is.

Give it all away to those who've died inside.

Give them what they want the most.

You'll be the one to give them the love they never knew they deserved.

Something' real, something' raw, something' that will set them free, and give them life.

It's our time to learn how to love.
