I had fallen unconcious a few moments after Nick and his comrads abducted me.
"She probably won't remember anything about what had just happened to her, Nick," a somewhat familiar voice was saying.
"I highly doubt that Naomi," Nick replied with a bitter tone. "She can remember alot of things easily, even if she doesn't realize it."
"True, I guess," Naomi tells him in a bored-like voice. "But why her?"
"Because she is..."
All of my senses shut down as I get trapped in a dreamless slumber.
I slowly open my eyes. There is a bright light shining right in my face. I blink a few times before my eyes ajusted to the dim-lit room. I look down to see that my arms were chained to the wall behind me.
"You are finally awake," a deep voice echos in the room.
"W-who's there?" I ask, scared out of my mind.
"Who else would it be Ciera?" he replies, stepping into the light from above.
"J-j-jeff?" I say, horrified. "B-b-but I thought you had been kidnapped."
Jeff shrugs.
"It was all an act, Cece," he explains. "But Kayla didn't know that. It was actually hilarious to see her reaction about it."
"But why? What was the point of it?" I question him, starting to get my confidence back.
"It's simple really," Jeff tells me, his eyes glowing evily. "My father, along with a few others, are going to change the world forever, to what we want it to be. Eternal Darkness, the pathetic humans who are no match against us, becoming slaves for the rest of their weak little lives."
My eyes change from a light blue to a dark, dark green. "So you think I am a weak human?" I snap at him. "I know I am barely fourteen years old, but I can't help it if my emotions overwhelm me. I don't give a damn if you even kill me right now."
I notice that Jeff is a little suprised by my outburst, but he quickly recovers and puts on his poker face again.
"You? A human? You have got to be kidding me," he says, laughing.
"I don't have any non-human powers, Jeff," I say to him with a hint of fury.
"Remember the 'A' person that sent you that warning a week ago?" he throws at me unexpectedly.
"Yes," I reply, starting to get confused again. "Why are you even bringing that up?"
"The mysterious 'A' was your cousin Amanda," Jeff explains to me. "She was trying to warn you about me, but she didn't get to you in time though. I knew it was only a matter time before my father discovered that you were still here in Manhattan."
He looks at the clock on the wall.
"It has been only a few hours since you've been here, and I'm suprised they haven't caught Kayla yet-"
"You leave her out of this!" I yelled at him. "She didn't do anything to you!"
Jeff turns to look me in the eyes. I stare at him for what seemed like ages before he spoke again.
"She knows where Amanda is at, Ciera," Jeff says calmly.
"I don't give a fuck dude," I shouted angrily. "If you even lay a finger on my best friend, I swear to gods that I will kick your ass!"
"How touching," he replies in a soothing voice. "It's too bad that you won't be able to stop my father from starting World War III, deary."
Jeff starts for the door. I feel the chains holding my bloodied wrists to the wall starting to break.
"You son of a bitch!" I scream at him, fury rushing through my veins like adrenaline. "And I thought we use to be friends."
Jeff turns to face me again, his eyes as black as the midnight sky.
"We weren't really friends, Ciera," he tells me with a hint of guilt hidden in his voice. "It was all an act."
The chains crumble into a million pieces, and I dive at Jeff, slamming him to the cold, damp stone.
"Why would you ever do that, huh? I had never betrayed you. You were like a brother to me, and this is how you treat me? I don't believe this at all."
I slam him against the wall, my body against his, my skin as white as snow, and my eyes a blackish forest green. Jeff goes pale, but there was a hint of a small smile on his face, as if he had been waiting for this to happen. I hear the alarms starting to go off.
"I'd make a run for it now if I were you," Jeff says, satisfied to see that I had unlocked something inside of me that I thought was impossible.
"Fine, but if I ever see your face again, I will claw your eyes out." I let go of him and dart for the door.
"Good-bye Ciera," he calls as I leave the room, making my escape before they could catch me again.
