Noble and Pride [Katsuki Bakugo x Shoto Todoroki]

Chapter 1 : Doryoku

Doryoku, a faraway Kingdom populated by mages, sorcerers, wizards, witches, and even spell and curse casters. A very one mighty Kingdom with a line of Holy Knights as their soldiers. A faraway Kingdom which is ruled by a very feared king for it's a merciless and strict way of ruling, King Enji Todoroki. The Kingdom was pretty successful by the ruler, the economy, also the modernity. Despite that perfectness, the kingdom was also known for its success in dragon hunting. Every type of them was hunted mercilessly, their every self were used for profits. Their meat, fangs, wings, and skins. All of them were very expensive when in marketing.

The King has four children. The oldest has long died from an outside mission, the female and another brother weren't suitable to become a mighty ruler as what the King expected. Then born the youngest child, who suits every of the King wants. He mastered his fighting skills at a very young age, he was calm in every situation. Either a very critical situation or facing enemies. His intelligence, might isn't the most intelligent of all but he was quick in reading the atmosphere, leading an ambush for his knights. Essentially, the youngest inherited both of his parent's magic- which is fire and ice.

The problem was his youngest son was an omega. This fact alone had made his father raged more than ever, his only perfect successor without a doubt is an omega, not an alpha. How can an omega rule the kingdom? How can the weakest rules over millions of people? The king had ignored such fact and continuously train his son as if there was no tomorrow. That doesn't matter, he says. Shoto had inherited the power he had always want his successor to have, Shoto had the potential to become as strong as he desires. Marrying him off with a strong alpha and still let him rule is a piece of cake.

Yet that way of thinking made the people of the kingdom infuriated. Enji just broke the sacred rule of the kingdom to let only the oldest son have the throne, and must be an alpha to rule. What Enji wanted to do was exactly the opposite.

Well, do you think the youngest child was alright with every of this? His childhood was ruined, he received a burn scar at such a very young age which left him with dark memories, also was being tortured just to improve every side of himself every single day. Of course, he wanted to free himself. He wanted to mix with his people as an ordinary citizen. He wanted to feel how is it to really become a human, not a 'powerful weapon' to reach his wantings. His born was planned to be one, and Shoto will never become what his father wants. The people suffered from such a mad king.

Years passed, The Queen has been bedridden for months. Her sickness was getting worse each day. Whose fault do you think it was? Shoto blamed his father for it. His father's fault to make his mother lost her mind and fell sick. She was dying. No, no. There still a lot of things Shoto wanted to tell her mother, spend time with her. He still wanted to show her he will do everything without his old man's effort and he can be better. Not just better, much far better than his father.

A talk between the doctor who assigned to take care of her mother and King Enji was heard by Shoto unintentionally. King Enji thought of the Queen was an obstacle for Shoto's training since The Prince kept meeting her, even with the King's warning. Until the order of treating the Queen was stopped instantly. She'll be left suffering to death. No way in seven seas Shoto will allow such a thing. He decided to search for the herbs on his own. Accompanied by his medicine books and few readings on medicine.

Shoto do know once he was caught by his father, he's going to be in huge trouble. Who knows his everyday extreme training might be even worse, or he only could eat a meal for a day- oh, Shoto has broken the rules once. His father's rage never becomes a favorite, always end with misery.

Thanks to his love of reading, every way of the kingdom has been memorized. It was easy for him to predict the time of guarding guards at the boundary, he had successfully slipped himself from the gate and left the kingdom officially. Shoto had been waiting to do this for so long. No more deadly training and scold, the peace he had always want he will finally achieve. He couldn't be so happy for long, unfortunately. He escaped with a single mission and need to focus on that until the end. Which is saving his lovely mother.

For the start, it was so exhausting. Shoto couldn't carry many things to increase the success rate of his escape, only having some gold coins with him and a meal to have in his journey. For his drink, he had the thought of only having some from a nearby river or lake. He'll need to leave his fancy lifestyle for now, including his heavenly meal- cold soba.

Apparently, the news of his disappearance spread so fast. A day of Shoto at the neighbor kingdom, posters of his missing were everywhere including a huge reward for his catch. No one tried to refuse the wish of Doryoku kingdom due to its power, the other kingdoms need to agree with the wish. Due to Shoto's outstanding look, he felt uneasy even with his cloak on to cover his identity. His heterochromia pair of orbs need to not having much eye contact with any villagers. his bi-colored hair needs to be hidden well.

The searching hunt was too much, Shoto needs to take his leave immediately. He is now wandering in the forest, starving. He wasn't thirsty due to a nearby river he had found, but he was so hungry. Even so, he didn't waste his time and had his eyes roamed to look for any newfound plants to be noted. Who knows some could be beneficial if they're not medicines. Now that he's in a forest, he wasn't just afraid he might encounter anyone who knows him. But also a creature, which is a dragon. His magic alone is so powerful yet he couldn't be so confident. The sword which was always by his side wasn't brought as well, he only had his magic to rely on defense. His magic is quite apparent to steal other unnecessary attention.

His thoughts were snapped once he heard a groan. Shoto immediately stayed in guard but he couldn't leave the possible creature be. The groan sounded as if it was in so much pain. Shoto slowly took a step closer, his cloak stayed to cover half of his face to avoid anyone seeing his look. Once seeing what it was, his eyes widened in surprise.
