The car came to a halt in front of the most important building in Seoul. BigHit headquarters. From a small, quiet center into a multi-billion dollar company, it stands tall in the heart of the city. Surrounded with security measures, you knew how important they were just by looking at the building. I felt the car moving again as it was allowed into the parking area, away from the crowd that had gathered at the front of the building. Apparently Veda had made an announcement that I had been found and fans were chomping at the bit to find out who this mystery woman was and if she was really Jungkook's soulmate. I was the talk of the ARMYs already and they didn't even know my name.
"Before we go in. . .can I ask how you deal with the fans, Jin?" I asked.
"They won't always like you, but the ones who love you will defend you. The ones who love you are all you should ever be concerned about. They will take care of the bad ones and take care of you," Jin-Ah smiled. "Don't worry about them for now. Worry about your soulmate, Ara. He's your priority right now."
I nodded and gave her a smile. She reached for my hand and grabbed it, giving it a firm squeeze and giving me a knowing nod of love and acceptance. She truly is a caring woman like Yoongi had said. I'm surprised that there was nothing fake about her online. At least, not that I could tell.
"Okay, Ara. We're gonna walk you inside and introduce you," Veda smiled. "Would you like either of us to stay with you after the unclasping?"
"I, uh, I don't think so. I'll let you know if I do," I smiled. "Thank you."
My heart was racing as we exited the car and Veda pressed the security code into the keypad and swiped her card so we could enter the building. The walls were a dull white, art work and album covers decorating the hallways upon hallways we walked down.
We stopped at a desk and Veda got an I.D. sticker for me, pressing it to my jacket. I glanced at it and it read VIP in such obnoxious big letters. I didn't feel like a VIP. I felt like a scared little girl in a building that isn't meant for me. The building was too big and I was far too small. I hated it.
The scenery changed and we walked into an open room with smells of sandwiches and teas wafting in. The lunch wasn't for another hour but everything smelled so good, it was unbearable.
Every ounce of hunger in my body left me when he entered the room. He was breathtaking in real life and was the epitome of fit, give or take a little baby fat in his face. I had something wash over me when I saw him, and it hit harder when he saw me. His jaw dropped before he smiled and ran towards me, eyes locked with mine as he grabbed my shoulders.
"Ara?" He breathed.
I nodded, breathless at the sight of him.
He smiled and hugged me, a sense of warmth shocking my body. I felt home. I felt safe. Just like Jin-Ah said.
"J-Jungkook?" I asked as he pulled away. "You. . .you're my soulmate."
He smiled and nodded, although his smile never left his face, it got bigger as I addressed him.
"And you are mine," he said, pulling my ring towards his face. "It's so surreal."
So he experienced it the same way huh.
I reached for his, in awe of my name on the ring. I had never preferred my full name but something about it on his ring made me love it. It seemed right. Everything suddenly made sense.
"May I take it off?" He asked. "Veda can't leave until I do."
"Only if I may take off yours as well," I smiled.
He nodded and walked behind me, grabbing the back of the chain and lifting it away from my neck. I had tried to remove it several times before and part of me didn't believe he could actually remove it. But sure enough I felt the weight off my neck for the first time in eight years. He proceeded to lift it around me and take it into his hands. He walked back to my front and lowered himself so I could reach. I undid the clasp and grabbed the ring, holding it in my hands. As he turned around, I couldn't help but smile.
"May I?" He gestured to my right hand.
I had never nodded faster in my life.
He slipped it onto my finger and it fit perfectly. His named shined back at me from my finger and I smiled. I slipped the ring with my name onto his finger and he smiled.
The ring on the right hand signified that the individual had found their soulmate but was not yet married. The ring would change hands upon marriage.
I jumped and hugged him again, excited that he was mine and excited I felt this.
"Walk with me?" Jungkook asked.
I glanced back at Veda and Jin-Ah and they nodded.
I grabbed his hand and nodded.
Today was the day my life changed forever.
