The Red Nosed Reindeer part 1

It was April 8th 2023, it had been five months since she had slayed Illfang and gained the title "Beater". It was late and Kirito was in a local tavern with five other people. "Here's to us, the Moonlit Black Cats! Cheers!" The five people Kirito were sitting with put their goblets together before taking a sip. "I got another, to the lady who saved our lives, to Kirito!" The five players in front of her belonged to a guild called the Moonlit Black Cats. She met them in a Labyrinth while they were being pushed backed by mobs, and their only forward Tetsuo had lost a lot of health and had no else he could switch out with, Kirito found them and helped lead them out of the Dungeon, after doing so they invited her to the tavern to try to pay her back. "Uhh cheers guys" Kirito replied to their toast to her, she was not used to this amount of praise so it was making her feel fairly uncomfortable. "Thanks", "yeah man", "you really saved us back there", then the sole female player in the guild spoke up "Thank you, thank you so much" Kirito remembered her name being Sachi she wore a blue dress that went down halfway to her knees and a navy blue chest piece, besides that there wasn't anything special about her. "Please, the praise is to much i was just doing what was right", "Thank you, i can't begin to tell you how scared i was, and it made me so happy when you came to save us i-" Sachi couldn't continue as she started cry possibly out of joy or terror as she remember almost dying. "Oh well...", the group's leader Keita interjected "Uh Kirito Ma'am, I hope I'm not out of line asking this but I was wondering what level you're at?", Kirito had recently hit level 40, she was wearing a full steel chest plate, she also had The :Coat of the moonlit Traveler: on it was a black trench coat with Blue stitching and a yellow crescent moon on the left side of it right above Kirito's left breast, Under all that Kirito had a simple black shirt and pants. On her back was a new sword to replace the Anneal blade she had sold to a lower level player long ago, it was called the :Bercious:, it had a long handle so it could be used with 1 or 2 hands, and it had a small blue guard with baby blue engravings in it, with a full silver blade. Kirito replied "... level... 20", "Wow you're at our level and still a solo player, you're an inspiration Ma'am". "Keita i'm not your commanding officer so could you please drop the whole Ma'am thing, and being solo means i'm always out in the boonies, it's not very efficient", "Oh... uh right, well in that case i hate to spring it on you here but if you want we'd love to have you in our guild, our mace wielder Tetsuo is the only one we can put out front right now and as you've seen he's not invincible. And then we got Sachi here" Keita said the last part as he pat Sachi's head causing her to make a "oof" like sound "I was thinking of having her switch to a sword and shield so she can be on the front lines, thing is she says she's not sure she can handle it. If you join us maybe you can teach her a thing or two", "Oh come on i'm not that useless" Sachi replied weakly, Keita only replied with a sceptical face "Im being serious, you can't just put me on the front lines and expect me to know what to do, i'd be terrified" Kirito Sympathized with Sachi people always underestimated her due her being a girl and with the way she looks but Sachi even from Kirito's view acted like she looked, unlike Kirito, you could say Sachi was a bit a ditz. "It's no big deal, just hide behind your shield", "Yeah ever since I can remember you've been such a scaredy cat!" Keita jested. They all laughed besides Sachi "We always joke around like that, see in the real world we all go to the same high school and are members of the computer club. But if you're worried about fitting in with us, don't, as far as I'm concerned you're already a part of our group, right guys", the rest of the members of the MBC (Moonlit Black Cats) nodded in agreement. "Well I'm very honoured you think of me so highly, and i'm grateful for the offer, i'll do it" All of the MBC's members' faces lit up when she said that and she was showered, no drowned in thanks and other kind words. 

Kirito only had 2 reasons for joining the MBC, the first was that she could tell they were all genuinely good people, and the second was that all of them besides Sachi were still treating this like a game. Kirito had learned to accept Aincrad as her new reality, besides monsters, sword skills, and specific items this world was no different from the real one. If you died you died, if you didn't eat you would feel weak and die, if you didn't sleep you'd pass out. Only Sachi seemed to get this as she was the only one who showed legitimate signs of fear while her other guild members kept telling her it would be fine like she could just respawn. Kirito knew all to well that was not the case.

I know this part is much shorter than the others but Beater part 3 turned out over 3000+ words and i figured making a shorter chapter would be nice, i decided to give the sword and coat Kirito have in the majority of this episodes names as i like giving a visual representation of what the character looks like and couldn't find an actual name on the official sword art online wiki, the only name for any of Kirito's equipment i could get was the sword he equips later to fight the field boss, i uploaded 3 chapter today as rain canceled plans i had, so i had a lot of free time today.
