Alex's P.O.V.
My heart dropped to my stomach when the bell rang. Usually I would be glad to get home but the last thing I want to do right now is go home. I walked out of the school doors and saw Michael and Luke with a cigarette in their hand.
I slowly started walking over to them and when they saw me they approached me. They dropped their cigarettes and twisted their shoe on them to put them out.
"Get in the car." Michael bluntly said. I stood there for a couple of seconds before speaking.
"I don't know which car is yours." I quietly said, trying to hide behind my hair. Michael grabbed my arm and dragged me over to a car. He unlocked it and let go of me.
"Now you do so get in it." He told me intimidatingly. He seemed really angry about all this.
"Do you know where I live?" I asked him, trying to speak quietly or else my voice would shake.
"You're next to Ashton aren't you?" He asked me with a low tone. How did he know where Ashton stayed? I nodded my head in agreement and he speeded off. He drives far too quickly for my liking and turned corners sharply.
When we finally arrived he braked hard which sent me flying forward. The seatbelt tightened around the bruise on my chest and I let out a quiet groan.
We both got out the car in silence and I walked into my house with Michael following behind.
"Hello, you must be Michael. Do you guys want to work upstairs in your room?" My mum asked sweetly. Michael put on a smile and nodded his head.
"No it's okay mum, we'll work in the living room or the kitchen." I quickly suggested. I didn't want to be left alone in my room with Michael.
"Well I'm cooking dinner in here and I've been in the living room swapping around the furniture again." She told me. I just sighed and walked up to my room. Michael sat on the edge of my bed and immediately got out his phone.
"What are you doing?" I asked him.
"Playing on my phone. What else am I gonna do?" He told me angrily. I started getting cross at him. I'm not doing this whole project on my own.
"You're here to do this project not to mess around." I told him with a blank expression.
"Fuck off, you're not my mum." He told me. I ignored him and started working on the project.
About an hour later my mum came upstairs and broke the silence.
"Dinner's ready. Do you want to stay around for dinner Michael?" She asked him. When he heard her walking up the stairs he sat opposite me to make it look like he'd been working but he'd just been playing on his phone.
"It's okay, I should probably head home soon anyway." He replied with a smile. I don't think I'd ever seen Michael smile without it being for a bad reason.
"We've got plenty to go around." My mum pried. After a few seconds of standing at the door smiling at him Michael agreed to stay.

"Thank you, that was really nice." Michael told my mum. I think it's the first time I've ever heard Michael be polite and give a compliment.
"That's perfectly fine. Do you like pizza, Michael?" My mum asked him. She seems to really like him.
"Yeah I love it." He replied laughing. This feels really awkward and weird - my mum and my bully are having a nice conversation.
"When you come down tomorrow we should order some pizza." My mum said excitedly. They seem to be getting on really well together.
"Thanks for the offer but I don't come round again until Wednesday." Michael told her. He looked kind of disappointed that he wasn't going to get pizza.
"I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to come over tomorrow as well. You'll be finished that project in no time!" My mum laughed. The last thing I want is to spend more time with him.
"No it's okay mum. We can just have pizza on Wednesday." Clearly seeing that I didn't like the idea, Michael agreed to come over tomorrow. Great, over half of my week spent with the person who hates me the most.

Me and Michael both walked back up the stairs and he sat straight on the bed again.
"Look if you're not going to do anything then there's no point in you coming over." I said in frustration. Michael walked over to me and stood in front of me, leaning over. I tried to back away but he came closer again.
"Somehow you've got the wrong idea about this whole thing. Just because we have to spend time with each other doesn't mean that I'm going to treat you any differently and I don't like the way you think you can talk back to me now so cut it out." He told me, only centimetres from my face. I nodded and then walked to the side. I thought he was going to hit me but he didn't. I sat back down on the floor and he sat on my bed.
"Where's your toilet?" He asked me as he stood up.
"You can just use my one in there." I pointed to the en-suite door in my room. He threw his phone on the bed and walked into the bathroom. After he locked the door I heard his phone vibrate. My curiosity got the better of me and I quietly walked over to his phone and looked at the screen. It was from Ashton.
I flinched slightly when I saw it was from him. Why were Michael and Ashton texting? I wish I knew Michael's password to see what they were talking about. I couldn't help but think that Calum was right when he said I shouldn't trust Ashton.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Michael shouted at me which made me jump.
"Your phone made a noise and I thought it might have been mine but I came to see if it was yours." I said stuttering. It was a complete lie and he knew it. He rushed over to grab his phone and walked out the door.
"Where are you going?" I shouted down the stairs, my heart beating out of my chest. He didn't respond, he just walked out the door. I ran to my bedroom window to watch him leave. It confused me when he walked past his car and walked out my driveway but then I guessed exactly where he was going. He hammered his fist on Ashton's door before storming inside.
