Ranbir finished reading all the mails for the day. He was tired. Being the CEO of a big company, one would expect him to live in a mansion. But no, he lived in an apartment, away from his family. Not a small one though, it was big and spacious. So spacious that it made him feel lonely sometimes.
The thought made him glance at the file on his table. His assistant had handed it over to him that evening. With a mild excitement, he picked it up.
The first thing that caught his eyes was a photo. Or rather, a very attractive photo.
He stared at the beautiful face of Prachi Mehra for a few seconds. She was definitely attractive. It was the third time that this thought crossed his mind.
He kept the photo down and checked the details in the file. She had begun her company four years ago and has been popular for more than two years now.
What he liked the most was that she started from scratch and made a place for herself, all by her own hard work. It impressed him. He always admired achievers.
He had no explanation to this, but it kind of made him glad that her marital and relationship status was single. Not that it mattered to him..... (or so he tried to make himself believe!)
He was terrific when it came to professionalism, but when it came to matters concerning women, he was....pretty much behind everyone.
The reason probably might be that he was raised by a bunch of men. His mother had died during his childhood and he had no grandmothers. His father never remarried. His aunts took care of him, but they could never be his mother. He didn't have any sisters either.
So, it was his father, grandfather and bachelor uncle who had raised him. And of course his older cousin brother.
He didn't knew what caused his interest in Prachi. Was it her beauty or her attitude or her compliment or all three? He had no answer.
Any way, he was happy that she was not involved in any conspiracy against him. He kind of knew it, but it was good to be sure.
As he laid on his bed, he wondered if he would be meeting Prachi again. He sure won't mind that.

Prachi finished the design she was working on and stared at it with a satisfactory smile. Her most successful ventures were all in women's fashion, but lately, she had been thinking working more on men's fashion.
And that thought reminded her of Ranbir Kohli. He was really handsome. It was a pity he could not model for her. She wondered whether he had abs.
"Shut it Prachi!", she chided herself.
She had stopped involving herself with men long ago. She was given enough grief by a man for lifetime.
Men, romance, marriage, these were closed chapters in her life.
And she didn't want any Ranbir Kohli with attractive eyes and handsome face to lure her back in that direction.
She works in fashion industry and has come across many good looking men. None of them affected her then, nor will anyone now.
But then, she was reminded of what Shahana said. How Ranbir was known for his temper and how soft he had been with her. Well, it pleases women to know that they are charming, but that is not going to make her break her walls.
"Wow! It's so beautiful!"
Prachi smiled on hearing her mother's remark.
"You like it?", she asked.
"I love it!", came the reply.
"Mrs. Pragya Mehra says it's good, so it must be really good.", Prachi said with a smile.
Pragya smiled. "So, who is the guy?"
"Huh?" Prachi looked at her in surprise.
"When I walked into your room, you were thinking about something or rather someone AND you had a smile on your face.", Pragya said with a teasing tone. "I know that expression. So, who's that guy?"
"Ma, there is no one!" Prachi exclaimed. "You know everything and still you ask these questions!" she shook her head in disappointment.
Pragya sighed. "I just want you to be happy. It's been five years. Don't you think you should move on now?"
"Ma...... I have moved on", she said. "I am happy and I don't need a guy in my life to make me happy."
Pragya held her shoulders. "Sure, you don't" she said. "But it is good to have someone to share your happiness with. I won't be around always."
"Maa!" Prachi exclaimed. "Let's just.....not talk about you not being around. Okay? And please, no men too."
Pragya smiled sadly. "Okay."

Aryan was waiting for his boss to arrive. Shahana had explained the plan to him the last night. Ranbir and Prachi should meet for the second time before the effects of their first meet exhausted.
And Shahana came up with a secure idea!
Ranbir Kohli had arrived on time as usual and Aryan was on his side. He filled him with the schedule that day and handed him his daily coffee.
"Sir, Mr. Khurana has invited you to his annual charity event. It is next week."
"Hmm. Order a suit for me." Ranbir said.
"Sure sir.", Aryan smiled. "Do you want to order from Mishra's or DS or......"
"Order one from the usual company. I don't want to waste my time for this." Ranbir exclaimed annoyedly.
"Sorry sir, it's just that when you asked to find about Prachi Mehra, I also came to know that she has launched new suits for men. It is popular so, I thought, maybe, you would want it.", Aryan took his chances.
His irritation simmered down on hearing Prachi's name and Ranbir turned attentive. Well, he never bothered much about what he wore, except that it must be clean and proper. But the idea of purchasing from Mehra Designs, somehow appealed to him.
"Uhm....", Ranbir turned to his computer. "If it's good, order one."
"From Mehra Designs?"
"Isn't that what you were talking about?" Ranbir glared at Aryan.
"Sure sir. Will do it!" Aryan said.
He had a wide grin plastered on his face when he walked out of the cabin.
"Pack the suit!"
He sent the message.
