THE ARRANGED LOVE STORY

EPISODE 13

Prachi felt her heart thud loudly in her chest. It was the first day of the Lakme Fashion week. She was being a part of it for the first time. It was an achievement for her and her company.

"We're going to do it great ma'am."

Prachi looked at her side. Shahana was standing next to her. She smiled at her.

"We are!" Prachi said confidently.

Just then her phone started ringing. She anxiously picked it up, expecting a tense news. A sense of relief spread on her face, when she saw the name Ranbir flashing on her screen.

Prachi felt happy. Shahana went away quietly from there to give them privacy.

"Hello!" Prachi answered the call.

"Hi Prachi. Your show starts today, right?" Ranbir asked.

"Yeah. Today is the day." Prachi said nervously.

"I wanted to wish you Good Luck. So, good luck! I know you are going to be great." Ranbir's voice emanated his confidence in Prachi.

"Thank you Ranbir." Prachi said gratefully. "Honestly speaking, I'm nervous."

"It's natural." Ranbir said. "What do you usually do when you are nervous?"

"Me?" Prachi chuckled. "I just grab a tub of strawberry ice-cream and start eating because I love it. But I can't do it now because of diet, work and...."

"I think you can ease on your diet today."

"Huh? Ranbir...."

"All the best Prachi!"

"Hello? Ranbir?"

Ranbir had cut the call. Prachi was surprised. It was the first time he had called her and it ended in this way. She shook her head and went downstairs.

"Okay guys. Get everything ready. We're leaving." Prachi announced.

All the employees got to work. They arranged and packed everything in order. Only Prachi, Shahana, two designers and three other staff were to go to the event.

Once everything was settled, everyone got into their respective cars. Prachi and Shahana were together.

Suddenly, a security guard came running towards them.

"Ma'am" he panted and spoke to Prachi.

She lowered the glass of her window. "What happened?"

"Ma'am, this parcel was delivered for you." He handed her a packet.

Prachi took it and opened it carefully. It was a box. Actually a tub......of strawberry ice-cream!

Shahana was surprised. "Ice cream?" she frowned.

A smile came on Prachi's face. "I asked for it." she said.

As the car started moving, Prachi sent a small message to Ranbir.

THANK YOU!

She opened the tub with a grin. Before she could dig her spoon into the heavenly delight, there was a notification.

Good Luck. You are going to rock it.

Prachi blushed on seeing it and started relishing the ice-cream.

Ranbir knew that he had done the right thing when he received Prachi's message. He had decided to send her a gift out of impulse and he wasn't wrong!
