A/N: Welcome to Part 2! Small warning, this chapter does discuss an actual physical disorder. I have this disorder and have reflected it onto Woods to spice things up a bit in the future. Besides that, this chapter is just as awkward as the last! Enjoy! 💜💜💜
Woods woke to the sounds of cooking and the harsh smell of fresh bacon. Although the noise was faint, various tones of pots and pans clanking on hard surfaces could be heard in her room. The girl opened her eyes to total darkness. It took her a moment to gather her senses before realizing where she was. She was still in the lair, everything that'd happened the previous night was real.
The girl sat up slowly, unable to see where she was on the bed. Using her hands she felt her way to the edge and swung her feet off the cushion and onto the floor. She reached her arms above her head and stretched. To Woods' amazement, she had slept extremely well. She felt strangely at ease and relaxed. It may have been the best rest of her life.
Woods stood from her bed and cautiously made her way towards the door. She walked with her arms in front of her body, waving them around trying to find the door knob. After a bit of searching her small hands landed on the cold metal sphere and she opened the door.
Bright light shot down the hallway and into the girl's eyes causing her to squint and shield her eyes with her hand. She winced at the quick pain that followed but shrugged it off and made her way into the main part of the lair. The thick concrete floor was cold against her bare feet making her pace faster than usual.
Now that she was out of her room, Woods could clearly hear the boys making a commotion in the room that Woods guessed was the kitchen. The smell of food was heavier out here as well making the girls mouth water with hunger. She hadn't eaten anything since lunch the day before. She quickly made her way towards the noise in hopes that there would be a plate of something tasty waiting just for her.
As she rounded the corner, Woods' eyes grew wide at the sight ahead of her. Leo, Mikey, and Raph were all scattered about the small kitchen, slices of toast and pieces of bacon were flying in-between them at high speeds. They'd catch things on plates or hand them to Mikey who seemed to be doing most of the cooking.
A small "wow" escaped Woods' lips causing Raph to look her way. Due to the distraction, a sunny side up egg that Mikey had tossed for his brother to catch on a dish, smacked Raph in the face. Woods couldn't help but chuckle. Her small laugh halted the shenanigans in the kitchen as Mikey and Leo looked at the girl as well.
"Woods! You're up!" Mikey cheered as he set down the spatula that was in his hand.
The younger turtle took notice of his red-clad brother, "Dude, aren't you getting a little ahead of yourself?" He smiled at Raph's dismay. "Wait for the rest of us to eat."
Raph only rolled his eyes and wiped the food from his face. "How'd you sleep?" He asked Woods groggily. It was apparent that he hadn't slept all that well.
"Pretty alright." Woods replied as she stepped further into the kitchen. "Thanks again for letting me stay the night."
"Not a problem!" Leo smiled.
Woods smiled back then took the chance to gaze at her new surroundings. The kitchen looked old and worn. It was surprisingly clean like the rest of the lair, spare the food that was laying around on the countertops in preparation for the morning's meal. However, it still seemed cozy.
