A/N: Hello everyone! I am so so sorry for such a long wait. I had a lot going on, even art was hard to do for a while. But now things have started to realign so let's hope I can get the next chapter out faster.

Enjoy!

Woods' high pitched scream could be heard drifting over the buildings of New York from miles away. It wasn't a terrified scream but one of excitement and joy. It was similar to those that you'd hear in an amusement park. Mikey had Woods nestled in his arms, holding her smaller form close to his plastron. Jumping from roof to roof, he carried her back to her apartment.

Mikey had taken the bo staff from Woods and slipped it into his belt on his back. When he had first picked her up she objected to being carried, insisting that she was too heavy for him to hold. But once he got her feet off the ground she felt how sturdy his form was. Mikey sustained a smile on his face, showing no signs of weakness. He didn't even seem to be struggling in his eyes either. Woods had immediately stopped complaining, that was until Mikey walked up to the edge of the building they were on.

"Wait no no no no! You are not! I repeat not jumping off this building with me in your arms!"

Mikey laughed at her distress. "Dude relax, I do this all the time."

"Yeah ok but do you ever do it with a full grown person in your grasp?" Woods twisted her head to look over the edge of the building. "OH UHUH! Put me down Mikey or I swear to GOD AAAA-!"

Before Woods could even finish her sentence, the turtle teen lept from the edge and into the open air. Woods slammed her eyes shut and clung onto Mikey for dear life. She felt him land and slowly opened her eyes when she didn't feel him move again.

"See? That wasn't so bad. But you gotta keep your eyes open, it's better like that I promise." Mikey said looking down at Woods.

She furrowed her brow and frowned. "You're kidding right? This wasn't what I thought you meant when you asked if I wanted to do something fun." she grumbled.

"Just trust me Woods. I said we wanted to keep you safe earlier right? Why would I put you in danger?"

The girl contemplated for a moment. He looked so sure of himself she just couldn't refuse him. She sighed.

"Fine, but if it's totally horrible then you're putting me down and we're walking."

"Whatever you say dudette but you're gonna think it's cool." Mikey shrugged then proceeded to get into a running stance.

Woods felt herself stiffen and instinctively wrapped her arms around Mikey's neck. She felt him chuckle at her actions and rolled her eyes. She glared at the view of tall buildings in their path. A fall from this height would almost certainly mean death. But she'd just have to trust her friend.

Before she could object any further, Mikey took off, sprinting across the building's rooftop. Woods clenched her jaw as they approached the ledge and closed her eyes again. Mikey's voice rang through her head however and she opened one of her eyes slightly. The orange clad turtle finally lept from the building, the sensation of falling sending a chill up Woods' spine. But that 's when she realized she was wrong.

The blur of the city lights and the stars above blended together into a beautiful array of blinding colors. The cool wind felt soothing against the girl's pale skin, and as Mikey began to pick up his pace, the sickening feeling of the rising and falling began to feel like a fluid motion, it reminded her of the similar feeling of a rocking chair. Comforting and welcome.
