the smell of coffee always brought a smile to the young 16 year old high school student.

y/n, who had long, wavy dark brown hair and the most stunning deep brown doe eyes, quickly opened the cafe door to escape the chilly winter morning.

crisp winter mornings always led y/n to her local cafe just next to her high school, but since she had woken up late her friends had already purchased their coffee which had left her all alone today.

with her long white parka and her soft and silky scarf wrapped out her neck that she had placed just below her eyes. y/n blushed silently as she saw the new foreign worker just behind the counter.

he had soft and light brown hair, which she guessed he had dyed recently, he also had the cutest, warmest and most caring eyes. his lips were just as perfect.

she smiled to herself as she slowly walked up to him, nervously she ordered her drink.

"miss... i'm sorry but i can't hear you under your scarf. do you mind lowering it for me?" the boy asked in korean with a cute japanese accent.

y/n was flustered and even more nervous. she was also shocked that he wasn't a korean person but a japanese person. she wanted to cheer him for his korean since it was really good even thought his accent was still there.

he's so cute, what is he thinks i'm ugly?

"oh, i'm so sorry." the young girl apologized as she removed her scarf.

"c-can i have one hot coffee please, and no sugar or cream." she ordered a little louder than before. she mentally cursed herself for stuttering.

"that will be $2.50"

she fiddled with her wallet and pulled out her card and handed it to him.

she studied his adorable face as he worked the machine.

today was the first time they met and it wouldn't be the last.

shotaro was nervous but also excited for his first day at work.

hoping that his korean would be pretty good and that people wouldn't make fun of his japanese accent he soon arrived at the cafe where he worked.

the young 17 year old boy had just moved to korea a couple months ago for his parents work. starting a new life was hard for the boy for he missed his friends and his life he had back in japan. hopefully taking up a new job would distract him and help him learn the language better and to make some more friends since he had none in korea so far.

-

the bell chimed and startled shotaro as a young girl had just walked in.

shotaro noticed her long parka and her scarf that she had wrapped wound her neck and half of her small face, he giggled to himself and thought that she was kinda cute.

he bit his lip nervously but he was confident in his korean so he told himself not to worry.

-

after the student had ordered and shotaro asked her to speak louder she had soon left the small but very comfy cafe and left the young boy in hope of seeing her again.

but he didn't know that she also couldn't wait to see him again.
