📍downtown near their university

"i dont care anymore just post the picture hyejin." i slurred out as i finished another drink. my vision was becoming foggy and my head was becoming light and free.

6 hours earlier

"c'mon, it all be fun jaemin. it's time to let loose and have fun. meet me and hyejin at this location in thirty minutes... or else." johnny hung up the phone and left me with my own thoughts.

should i go?

or should i spend the day with y/n.... we haven't been getting along lately so i decided i would send her a text telling her i would be out all day.

i pulled myself out of bed and wobbled over to shower to get ready for the long day ahead of me.

"let's go have fun." i whispered to myself as i hopped out the door and ran to meet my two other friends.

i hope y/n doesn't mind...

"immmmm posting itttttt." hyejin let out as she continued to dance amongst the crowd.

"do it!" johnny cheered her on as he ran to join her on the dance floor.

i chuckled to myself and admired my two friends having fun. i wish y/n could be like this. i wish she could just have fun and not argue about every little thing. i wish we could go out together till late at night just having fun like how college students do. i wish she could just enjoy her life. i shook my head and decided to have no more negative thoughts. i smiled over to the other two and ran to join them.

"let's dance the night awayy!" i yelled out as the beat dropped and we danced together with drinks in our hand.

"thank you jaemin, i know you could let loose and have fun." hyejin grinned as she threw her hands up in the air.

We danced for what seemed like hours just enjoying each others company and not having a care in the world. It didnt even feel like someone was missing. It almost felt better. It almost felt normal and good. And i wasnt the only one who felt like this.

"Guys i dont know if this is just drunk words but i also heard that drunk words are sober thoughts," johnny paused as he took another shot, "but isnt it more fun without y/n? Like i feel like we are freer. We are having more fun too." he finished and looked at us wide-eyed.

The heavy bassed music echoed in the background as we all started to look at each other, smiles growing bigger and more prominent on our faces, " are we the bad guys?" hyejin looked between johnny and i.

" i mean, we can be bad guys together." johnny held up his hand and we all high-fived it.

"Us three forever," they said together.

I nodded, "us three forever." i smiled at my two best friends.

We three forever... no y/n.

"So what do we do about y/n?" hyejin asked, " she is our best friend and YOUR girlfriend." she pointed to me.

"Ummmmm... yeah" i slowly let out, " do i break up with her? I mean we have been arguing a lot lately and everything seems to upset her. I also think she has lost feelings." i finished, glancing down.

"Lets go somewhere quiet." johnny suggested.

we paid the bartender for our drinks as we stepped out of the nightclub my phone rang.

"y/n's calling, what do i do?" i panicked. I didnt want her to get the wrong idea of me being drunk.

"uh ... just let it ring. You texted her saying you're gonna be out all day right?" johnny asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, she knows im with you not hyejin." i bit my lip.

"Shes gonna freak when she sees my post." hyejin slurred out, leaning on a light post.

The three of us quickly crossed the street that led to an open sitting area where other groups of young people were enjoying their night. We sat at a table together in silence. Admiring the crisp air. Studying the nightlife. All three of us wondered what it would be like to become a three-person group instead of four. The music from the club died down a little since we were outside, but we could still hear little whispers of the up-tempo music.

Johnny clapped his hands, "so what do we do. You jaemin have a big part in this." he turned to me.

"i - i feel awful, but i need to do what's best for me, and ive already thought about ending it with her." i answered back. My head was still fuzzy from all the fun we had just had.

"What about you hyejin." i asked moving my eyes towards her.

"I dont know... i love her, shes my number one, but so are you guys. Ill slowly back away from her." her frown turning more upside down," but what about school?" she perked up.

"Shit" johnny scratched his head.

"Fuck" we all said in unison.

"We are the bad guys." i let out, disappointed in myself.

"I feel horrible." johnny agreed. He rested his head on his hand.

"Lets not think about this right now. Lets finish this school year together and if there is still tension, " johnny took a deep breath, "then itll be just us three. Deal?" he reached out over the table.

"Deal." we all said together as we shook hands.
