3rd person pov
"guys, i can't believe we are finally here." y/n ran into the fresh air and stretched her limbs, "that plane ride wasn't too bad, right jaemin?" she asked pulling jaemin to stretch with her, "mhm, not too bad at all." he smiled and pulled out his phone to snap a picture of y/n being silly.
"hey!! what are you doing??" y/n ran up toward jaemin and grabbed his phone out of his friend, "hehe too bad, i already saved it." he teased and ran to meet the rest of their friends.

y/n, hyejin, jaemin and johnny all took in how beautiful japan was, from the ocean they overlooked that waved back to them and seemed to go forever and ever, and the green grass that was softer than a little lamb.
to them, japan was beautiful.
to shotaro, japan was hell.
to them, korea was torture, alwasy having to study and stress over school projects.
to shotaro, korea was heaven, an escape from everything that was going wrong.

"johnny, COME HERE. come take my picture pleasseeee." y/n dragged johnny and handed him her phone, "only if u give me credit." johnny comprised and y/n nodded, "of course, of course bro." y/n joked and posed for the camera, "thank youuuuuu." she posted the picture and the two ran to meet the others who were deep in conversation.

"so jaemin, are you gonna tell y/n how you feel? i don't wanna pressure you but maybe we can plan something together? i think that might be a good idea and maybe we can do it while we are in japan!" hyejin held jaemins shoulder as he watched johnny take y/n's picture.
"she so just perfect, i think she'll reject me and i don't want to distract her from having a good time, but in the other hand let's try to plan something small, like really small." he clasped his hands together, "we'll talk more tomorrow." hyejin finished the conversation noticing that y/n and johnny were drawing nearer.
"what are you guys talking about?" y/n jumped next to jaemin and poked the back of his neck, "better be about how amazing i am." she joked and glanced up at jaemin who wasnt glancing back.
"jaemin? you good?" she questioned as he refused to answer her.
"i- i'm gonna go to the restroom real quick. i'll be back soon." he tried to hide his shaky voice and ran to the nearest restroom and collapsed as he closed the door.
he held the back of his neck and bit his tongue trying to hold back the tears he did not want to fall down.
"jaemin, man up. just tell her how you feel and maybe she'll accept you." he comforted himself but it didn't seem to work.
all the times she would talk about another boy, jaemins heart broke into a million pieces, but since he liked her so much he would do anything to make her happy. even if he had to suffer silently... he would.
he never hung up the phone when y/n would spend the whole night talking about shotaro, he never questioned her if she really did like shotaro, he just gave her the best advice as a best friend would do, but would then cry himself to sleep and would blame his puffy eyes on a stupid excuse like allergies.
jaemin really did love y/n, but he didn't want to ruin their friendship.
"god help me." he begged as he wiped his tears and washed his face, he didn't want his friends to things something was wrong with him.
"j-jaemin, are you really okay?" jaemin froze at the sound of another voice and slowly turned around to johnny standing there, his face full of concern and confusion.
"y-you like y/n?," he questioned pointing to the door and hesitantly walking toward jaemin, "for how long?" his arms fell down to his side as he saw how vulnerable his friend was.
"um, maybe for a year now? only hyejins knows and i guess you too." he tried to hide his tear stained face but johnny stopped his motion.
"jaemin, tell her. please." johnny was so shocked at this sudden confession.
he then started to piece the puzzle together and now began to realize the motions jaemins would make or some things that jaemin would say to y/n that made sense and showed that jaemin liked y/n.
"i-i'm gonna try. hyejin is gonna help me plan something while we are here... maybe you can help too." he smiled small, drying the rest of his tears and fiddling with the hem of his jacket.
"you don't even have to ask jaemin." johnny pulled his best friend into a bear hug and refused to let go.
"thank you." jaemin muffled out and johnny laughed, "nah dude, hyejin and i will do everything to help you. you can ask and tell us anything anytime you need too. we are here for you. it doesn't matter what's going on, we will never leave you to suffer alone. i kinda wish you had told me before you know like a bro to bro." johnny comforted jaemin and all the fluffy hair boy could do was force out a laugh.
"i think we should go soon, y/n might things something is wrong." jaemin pulled out of the hug and began to pull the door open.
"something is wrong jaemin, but it's okay. well make it work, even if i die." johnny ran up to jaemin and wrapped his arm around his shoulder and they ran back to the y/n and hyejin.
"are you guys good?" y/n asked the two boys.
"never better." jaemin responded which received a scoff from both hyejin and johnny.
"okayyyyy," y/n raised her voice towards the end, "anyways let's get something to eat. i'm STARVING." she held her stomach and as if on cue her stomach mad a mois and the group all joked and laughed and took a taxi to the nearest restaurant.
