Chapter Five- Rugby, Football, what's the point?

~~~
Artemisia's P.O.V
We had been walking around in circles for what felt like hours, but Thomas insisted that they were making progress. What was worse, was that Ash kept droning on about how the Rugby players were joining the Football team.
"In Football you don't need strength, like you do in Rugby, you need Accuracy. I mean of course you a bit of strength, to kick the ball, but that's in your legs, not your arms. And also..." I zoned out after a while, not caring about it. Rugby, Football, what's the point? I started to think about what other people were doing in the world. Thomas had noticed I had  blanked out and so walked over to us.
"Stop boring her, can't you tell she's not paying attention?" He said smirking at Ash. He decided to slide his arm around my waist. How dare he.
"Get your hand off of me." I said clenching my teeth and trying to stay calm.
"Oh, come on it's just a joke. You know that." He said and squeezed my hip. That was it. I was at my breaking point. I elbowed him in the stomach and trod on his foot as hard as I could. He doubled over in pain, clutching his stomach. I turned around to face him
"I told you to get your hand off me." I said and walked off, Ash sniggring at him. After a moment he jogged up to me.
"That was awesome," He said, a look of what seemed to awe on his face. "Y'know, if you ever need protecting from guys like that, I'm always here." I snorted at this. Like I'd need protecting.
"I think that I have just proved I can take care of my self. But, thanks for the offer." I replied. Maybe Ash wasn't so bad. Well, apart from the fact that he likes that stupid girl Kathy. "We should get some sleep soon. The sun's almost down." I told him, looking at the sky.
"'K,, how about there?" He asked pointing to a patch of land, surrounded by trees. It wasn't the best place to sleep, but it would have to do.
"Ok." I replied, and we started walking in that direction. I chucked my bag down and sat on a nearby log.
"I'll collect some wood for a fire." He threw his bag down next to mine. "Be back in a minute." Ash said and walked off. I opened my rucksack and tipped everything on the floor. On the floor was a bottle of water, a bowl of fruit, a map ith little red dots on it , for food, a bed roll, and a small  square box which looked like a phone. I picked it up and found a button, turning it on. On the screen was a message.
Hello students. Through this computer I can send messages telling you information that you will need on this trip. Have fun!
With nothing else to do, I flopped down on my bedroll and stared at the setting sun. After a while the rest of the group had found where I was and were chatting amongst themselves and Ash had come back with a pile of logs in his hands. I helped him light the fire and sat next to it, warming my hands up as the night got cooler. We ate our fruit and decided to collect some food the next morning. I planted myself down, on the bedroll, the smell of a fire encircling me and leading me into a dreamless sleep.
