Y/n's POV

"You guys are dating?!"

I shrugged my shoulders at my classmate's incredulous voice as C/n pulled me into his side; as if it weren't the most unnatural thing ever.

"What, you saying she's out of my league or something?" he smirked.

Of course I'm out of his damn league.

Doing my best to hide the strong urge to shake him off, I plastered a wide smile onto my face.

"Of course I'm not," I said cheerfully.

The look of doubt didn't leave any of my classmates' faces as we waited for the bell to ring.

"I give them a month," someone mumbled.

"Even a week is pushing it," another whispered back.

Shooting a glare at them, I shuffled out of C/n's grasp and looked at the clock.

"Bell's about to ring, we should get to our seats."

I stretched as I held back a yawn. Finally, I can relax.

"Hey C/n, want to switch seats? I don't mind," my desk partner called to the other side of the class.

I internally groaned. Why are you so damn nice?

C/n grabbed his bag and gave the kind soul a grateful smile as he plopped down beside me. He was about to open his mouth when the teacher walked in.

"Alright class, today we will be—" he paused as he eyed our desk. "C/n, Y/n. Didn't I separate you two to opposite sides of the room last month?"

Giggles erupted in the room.

My eye twitched as C/n sat up straight to reply, "Well—"

"They're dating now so they can't stand to be apart anymore," someone snickered.

I slumped back into my seat.

I hate this fucking school.

"Alright alright settle down," he scolded before giving us one last look. "As long as you don't interrupt the class, I don't care."

C/n nodded as I moved to take out my notes. This is gonna be a long day.

One Week Earlier...

"You want us to WHAT?!" I shouted.

R/n sighed impatiently, "I told you, I only need one more couple for the cutest couple section of the yearbook."

"Ok? Go find a boyfriend," C/n retorted.

She shot him a murderous glare as she set down her clipboard, "You guys only have to play along for a month and one week. As soon as the votes are polled, you guys can break up or whatever."

I rubbed a hand over my face, "I get you have a big responsibility and all, but seriously R/n, you've known us since middle school. Get literally anyone else to fake a couple 'cause everyone knows that C/n and I would rather kill ourselves than willingly even be in the same room."

She rolled her eyes, "Wow, how dramatic. I promise you guys were not the first choice, but you're the only ones I can blackma— I mean, convince."

C/n laughed as I groaned. There was a beat of silence while I tried to think of the best possible solution.

"You promise we're guaranteed the passing scores?" C/n spoke up.
