When I wake the next morning, the first thing I do is roll over to check my phone. Having forgotten about hanging up on Luke, I am at first shocked to find almost ten missed calls and even more text messages.

I guess he's not used to being ignored.

Disregarding those for the moment, I open up my messages and find two new ones from Rachel and Brett.

*Not sure what time it is there, but I miss you like crazy, bestie! Call me whenever you get this! Leaving my phone on ring*

That one was from Rachel, but before I call her back, I go ahead and check the message from Brett.

*Glad you landed safely, sis. Get some rest! Call me when you're bored*

I know he misses me, but since he seems less desperate to talk, I go ahead and dial Rachel first. She picks up after the first ring.

"STEPHANIE!" she squeals into my ear, so loudly that I have to pull the phone from my face.

"Hello to you, too, Rach!"

"Oh, my gosh! I can't believe you're actually there. Are all the guys like super hot?"

"Well, I haven't really even been outside yet," I explain with a chuckle.

"Oh," she laughs, "well were there any cute ones on your flight? I can't even imagine what I'd do with myself for eighteen hours without there being at least one cute boy to stare at." I pause for a moment, deciding whether or not to go ahead and tell her everything. Being my best friend, she not only notices my hesitancy, but also knows exactly what it means. "Oh. My. Gosh. Spill!"

"Well, I don't really know where to start," I say, thinking back to the events of the past day.

"From the beginning. I have all the time in the world."

"What time is it there?"

"Like dinner time. I don't know. That's not important! Stop stalling!"

"Fine," I huff, knowing that she's not going to let this go, and I might as well get it over with now. "Are you sitting down?"

I hear shuffling on the other side of the phone. "I am now."

I take a deep breath, preparing myself for the plunge.

"So you know 5 Seconds of Summer...?"

"Shut. Up."

The next hour is spent telling her every single detail of my encounter with the band, including the kiss, plane ride, and suitcase swap. She even makes me repeat several key moments. Especially the kiss.

"So he literally just laid one on you without any warning?" Rachel seems particularly stuck on this portion of the story.

"I had no idea what was happening," I agree.

"But then you pushed him away?"

"We've been over this, Rach. Of course I pushed away the stranger kissing me!"

"Wasn't he a good kisser?"

"That's hardly the point." I fall back onto the pillows, rolling my eyes.

"So he was a good kisser. I always knew he'd be a good kisser. It's the lip ring isn't it?" She giggles, and I actually find myself giggling with her before I catch myself and blush profusely.

"I really wasn't judging the kiss, if I'm being honest. I was too much in shock by the fact that some stranger's lips were on mine."

"A very hot, very Australian stranger's lips." She giggles again.
