My First Summer (Completed)

Chapter 7

When we arrived in the mentioned island, I hurriedly get down from the boat after I bid a goodbye to three of them. Hindi ko na kakayanin, or should I say hindi na kakayanin ng tibok ng puso kung matatagalan pa ako doon kasama si Sean.

Why did my heart reacts like that?

I stopped from walking when I heard my phone rang.

I snatched it from my mini backpack that I brought with me. Hindi siya kalakihan dahil  iilang damit lang naman ang dala ko.

Mom calling...

"Mom," I said from the other line as I answered the call.

"Mitchie, honey. You okay there?"

Mom is not with me right now. Nagpa-iwan siya doon sa resort dahil may business meeting siya via zoom.

Luluwas na sana siya sa Manila para umattend but she remembered me. I said I'm okay na umalis siya yet she refused. Kaya wala na akong magawa, dahil si Mom ang masusunod.

"I'm okay Mom. Kakarating lang namin dito sa isla."

"Good to hear," Mom answered.

"Are you done with your meeting Mom?"

"Hindi pa kami nagsisimula anak. Napatawag lang ako para kumustahin ka. Sige na Mitchie. I'm going to hung up this call. Mag-uumpisa na yata kami,"

I sighed, "alright Mom. Mag-ingat ka diyan."

"You too honey. Take your meds in the right time, okay? I love you."

"I love you Mom."

And she hunged up.

I continued walking. Kailangan kong makita si Chelsea.

"Mitchay!"

Napatakip ako sa magkabilang tenga ko ng may nakakarinding pagsigaw akong narinig galing sa babaitang hinahanap ko.

I looked behind, and saw Chelsea running towards me.

"Kumusta? Ang gugwapo ba nila?" she inspect.

I tsked, "ikaw talaga. Puro ka gwapo. Tara na nga!"

She laughed first before we headed our way where are others. Doon kami mag titipon bago sabihin ang perspective places na tutulugan namin mamaya.

"Welcome Sunset's Campers! I'm glad meeting you all," masiglang pagbati ng isang lalaki.

Nandito kami ngayon sa isang mini stadium nila. I think it was made for every gatherings and events of this island.

"As you know, I invited you here in my island to experience and discover my place. I am Ernest Natudna, the owner," so he's the owner? He looks young, but I think he's already in 40's.

"Hope you'll enjoy and have some fun here in a couple of day. Nevertheless, I was informed by the manager of Sunset Resort that the popular band The Trio was one of those campers who came back for summer,"

My co-campers yelled after Mr. Natudna said that. Sikat nga silang tatlo.

"I request for a mini concert, and the three agreed," he said that made the crowd more lively.

"Oh my gosh! Kakanta ulit si Sean!"

"Si Rein yung akin."

"Jeremy nambawan."

"It's going to be a wild night, tonight!"

They all screamed, jumping, but some are acting normal.

"So, go to your perspective places. Rest because we will watch and join the concert of the The Trio."

After that short message, Natudna Island's staffs brought us in our rooms.
