I was wrong
Wrong to expect someone to make me change
Wrong to force that heavy burden onto someone else
Someone that has always been there
Wrong to ask him to shave away bits and pieces
Pieces I did not want to give up
The truth is I was not ready to change
Was not ready to transform myself into what the world needed
I see now that no one could have prepared or forced me
I needed to want it
I am ready
