His voice was choked, like he was trying to hold back a sob. He slowly raised a gun, pointing it directly at Thomas. I inhaled sharply, taking a step towards him.

"Stop!" Teresa yelled, "He's been stung, look." Sure enough his right forearm and a great ugly, black hole in it. Ignoring her, I took another step towards him.

"Gally, put the gun down." I said in the calmest voice I could manage. His whole body was quivering and his lip was trembling. He looked at me before quickly turning back to Thomas.

"Gally look at me." He turned back to me and something changed in his eyes.

"You-You're hurt." He managed lowering the gun some.

"Gally we can get out, we can go home!" Thomas said rather loudly.

"You don't understand," the gun went back up, "We are home."

"Gally!" I shouted as his finger touched the trigger. Everyone started shouting. Then Bang. Thud. I gasped and looked up from the gun. And there Gally stood, swaying on his feet, with a spear implanted firmly in his chest.

"GALLY!" I screamed, surging forward to slow his fall. Tears started to stream down my face as Gally let out a labored breath.

"CHUCK!", "No Chuck!", "Easy kid!", I looked back to the group to see Chuck fall to the ground.

"Chuckie?" I whispered, letting out a sob. I looked back at the barely alive Gally in my lap.

"I'm sorry." I whispered, brushing his cheek with my thumb, "I couldn't save you. Its not your fault. You were stung, you didn't want to hurt Chuckie." I let out another sob. There was a loud bang as the doors opened, letting in a jet of blinding light and a wave of extreme heat.

"I'm sorry Gal." I vaguely heard the commotion of the others being pulled out of the room, "I should have saved you. Why couldn't I save you!" another sob came out as my tears splashed onto his face. A pair of hands grabbed my arm, trying to yank me up.

"NO!" I screamed, "I CAN'T leave him! Stop! GALLY!" I cried out, watching I was dragged away from his lifeless body. As I was pulled through the door, I was blasted with heat as we ran to a helicopter. Tears were streaming down my face like a waterfall as I was pushed into it. I quickly looked around, to see the rest of the Gladers in the helicopter looking somber. My brows furrowed as my eyes stopped on one in particular.

"YOU!" I lunged at Minho, desperate to make him feel the pain he caused Gally. I was only slightly aware of the others screaming out my name as I hooked Minho across the face. In my peripheral I could see some of the people dressed in black surge foreword. But I kept my focus on the devil that was pinned under my legs as I tried to punch the life out of him. Hands grabbed my arms and dragged me off of him as I sobbed.

"You fuckin killed him!" The black clothed people brought out a syringe with an unidentifiable liquid in it, "You're a fuckin monster!" I sobbed as the unknown people injected the substance into my arm. "Murderer." I managed as I began to see spots in my vision and my head felt heavy. "Murderer." I chocked.

And then there was black.
