I looked at Padre, and I was quite a bit upset, but I held that anger in, because it was not his fault, and he did not even know about the dreams that I had been having at all. Well, even if he did, he probably would have pushed me to wake me up anyways.
I looked at him for a few moments, and I was still quite a bit annoyed, I was so tired, and it felt like I had not slept at all last night. I wanted more sleep as well, that way I could talk to that young red dragon a little bit more. I felt a bit bad for being so rough on him.
He had lied to Socra though, I had quite a bit of doubt if this was actually the dragon of destiny or not... Maybe I should not however, he had seen me in the first place, and that had to mean something... Hardly any dragons could see me whenever I was in my dreams.
It was only the ones that were the strongest and the most powerful. That had to mean something... He might have lied as well, just because he had so much stress on him to be that dragon as well. I am sure that a lot of dragons were looking up to him for hope.
I realized that I had turned my head, and then closed my eyes once again while I was thinking through all of those thoughts in my head. I had nearly fallen back to sleep, which would have been quite nice, at least, if it were not for Padre pushing against me once again, to get my attention.
I turned my head back over to him, and I was in fact quite a bit angry this time. I had no other choice but to direct all of that anger towards Padre as well. It was not his fault, but he was the only other person that was with me in the tent though...
He was also the one that had woken me up in the first place too. It made me even more upset at him, just thinking about it like that as well. As I then began to shout at him quite loudly, he moved back, a bit surprised to see me act like that, because normally I was always so calm, and chill.
"Let me get some more sleep... I was having an important dream god damn it!" I yelled at him. He looked at me with a bit of a surprised look on his face for a few moments, and then he sat down on the chair that was beside my bed inside of the tent.
I was a bit confused as to what he was doing, and I was also confused as well as to the reason that he had woken me up in the first too. My mind was not working correctly at the moment, a lot of that due to the fact that I had in fact just woken up from an important dream, that of course Padre did not realize.
He sat there for a few moments, as he was just staring up at the top part of the tent that we were in. I looked up at it, my mind starting to come into focus at the surroundings, and all of that which was going on around me. I did not see what it was that he was staring at however.
As I looked back over at him, I then saw that he had his eyes pointed directly towards me, and he was squinting at me, as if he was a bit upset. Which I did not blame him for either, I had just been quite a bit mean to him just a few seconds ago.
He sat there for just a bit longer, and I began to get a bit nervous as to why he was just staring at me for such a long period of time. After a few more moments, and me then closing my eyes once again, because I was so tired, I then heard his voice raise up.
"You know... I really don't deserve to be treated like that... I am a part of this group too. Yes... I know about what I have done in the past. Besides, John was the one that told me to get you up in the first place... You can blame him for that." He said a bit loudly to me, so that the others might be able to hear that as well.
I felt a bit bad for him as well, because I had really not meant it that way in the first place, even though it might have seemed like it. I knew Uncle was quite mean to him, every time that they were near each other. Even after the year that we had been together, and you could clearly see that he had changed as well.
I also did not blame Uncle for any of the way that he had treated him as well. I knew why he was so upset at him all of the time. Padre was the same guy that had always stolen some money, or other materials from him and Susan... He would never see the change in Padre...
I looked down at the ground, a bit upset at myself for the way that I had just treated him as well. He was not all that much older than me, and we had in fact in a weird sort of sense, kind of became friends to say the least... Not that there was anyone else to become friends with in the first place.
After a few more moments of just pure silence in the tent that both of us were sitting in. I finally got the nerves and the balls to look up at him. He was looking away from me now, but he had seen mw lift my head up from the corner of his eye as well.
We looked each other down for just a few more moments, before he finally nodded to me, to let me know that it was okay to speak back to him. I nodded back to him thankfully, and then I lifted myself up from off of the floor, and then I began to speak to him.
"Im sorry Padre... I just had a dream that was important... I can't tell you about it, but its okay... I am also very tired." I said to him. He looked at me for a few more moments, and then he squinted his eyes at me. Which I was a bit confused as to why he was doing so as well.
Maybe he was wondering if I was hiding something from him. In a sort of sense, I in fact sort of kinda was hiding some stuff from him at the same time as well. It was not supposed to be any of his business though, unless John said that it was allowed to be.
Padre got up from the small little chair that he had been sitting on for quite some time now as well. He nearly hit his head on the metal bar as well, but his strange inhuman like instinct that I noticed for quite some time now, made him dodge it at the same time.
He then looked at me for a few moments, once again. Then he nodded at me, as he we sat there in silence for just a few moments longer. After the couple moments of silence were up, he nodded once again and then he began to speak to me.
"Well... I am not going to push you on it, but just know that I do not like to be treated like a pile of garbage all of the time, just for future endeavors." He said to me. I looked at him for a few more moments, and then I nodded to him, to let him know that I had heard what he had said, and that I would take that into account.
Maybe also at the same time however, I was not the right person that he should be saying that to. Uncle sure did treat him a lot worse than the rest of us. I knew why he did not say anything about it to him as well though. He felt a bit embarrassed and guilty as well, for all that he had done to him in the past.
Now at this point though, I was ready to move forward. It was time for all of us, Uncle including, to forget about all of the bad stuff that had happened in the past. Especially to my father as well... He was the most guilty out of all of us.
I understood where he was coming from as well. He had treated all of us like shit the last couple years. Just when he had started to even think about apologizing to everyone, he loses all of what he cares about. I could see where he was coming from on that, because he was my father... I did remember him when he was good.
I missed my mother just as much as he did, and I missed my sister as well. I still had hope that she was alive out there somewhere. Though that hope was becoming more and more slim by each passing day. Even if she was still alive, I would more than likely never get to see her ever again either.
I shook my head, as I then realized that Padre and I, both, were just staring at the ground, trapped in our thoughts. There was plenty of time to be thinking about all of that though... I was trying to think about why John had told him to wake me up in the first place.
Just as I thought about John, the tent suddenly opened up. I had not even heard his footsteps come up to it. It was something that he learned whenever he went hunting, which was a trait that I had not quite learned yet. I nodded to John, and Padre looked away from him.
John turned his head to me, and then he nodded to me as well, seeing that everything was going okay in my tent. He then looked at the both of us for just a few moments, and then he suddenly began to speak to the both of us as well.
"Well... It is good to see that you are both awake... Now lets pack up your tents, put all of your stuff into a bag... We have got to go today, I have pushed this off for long enough." He said to us. I looked at him for a few moments, as I was a bit confused as to what he was getting at in the first place.
Suddenly my memory then came back to me, as to what he had said to me just last night. I then nodded, though I could tell that Padre was still a bit confused as to what was going on in the first place. I shook my head however, I really did not need to be thinking about him right now anyways.
I then turned around, and then began rolling up my blankets, and then began stuffing my clothes into my 2 large bags, which one was used for clothes, which I usually carried on my hand when we did walk to move campsites in the first place, and the other bag was for the heavy stuff which I carried on my back" and my shoulders.
As I began packing a bunch of stuff into my bags, I then heard Padre begin to speak from right behind me. I turned my head over to him, just wanting to hear what it was that he was saying. I realized that it was not pointed at me, but I still was interested into what it was that he was saying.
"What is going on? What are we doing? You still have not told me why we are moving yet..." He said to John. I looked over at John he was looking outside of the tent, into our little campsite. It seemed as though he was just going to ignore what Padre had just said to him.
It was a bit annoying to me as well, and I could tell that it annoyed Padre a bit when John acted like this too. I never really understood why John felt like he should act so extra like this at times. I rolled my eyes and was about to turn my head back over to continue packing up all of my stuff, until I saw John turn his head over to Padre.
He squinted his eyes at Padre for a few moments, and then he saw that I was also looking at him as well. He then turned back over to Padre, and then he nodded, surprisingly understanding as to why we were wondering why we were moving again in the first place.
"I will tell you when the time comes, and I need to tell you why... But I will say that you should get used to it, because we are going to be moving a lot more often soon." He said to him. Padre looked at him a bit surprised for just a few moments, but he then nodded his understanding.
That was about all that you were going to get from John. In fact, I was a bit surprised that he had even responded like that in the first place as well. John turned his head to the both of us, and then he shook his head, before he then began to walk out of the tent.
Suddenly I remembered a part of what he had said to me just last night. I had remembered that he had told me that this was going to be the most important next couple of days in my life. I shivered thinking about what he might have meant, when he had said that to me in the first place.
Padre was still in the tent with me, and I shook my head. I did not need to worry about it right now, just like John had just said to us. I just needed to pack my things up... All of the questions, I am sure, were about to be answered over the next short bit of time.
One thing I was fairly sure of however, was that I was about to be very busy, very soon. There were going to be no more days of me just sitting back in camp, and staring at the ground, and just thinking. I am sure that my training was about to start very very soon.
As I was sitting there inside of my tent, I then heard Padre say something, though I was not sure if he was talking to me, or if he was talking to himself. I did turn my head however, as I saw that he was looking outside of the tent, staring at something.
"That guy sure is strange... I will never understand him I don't think." He said. I looked at him, and I agreed with him, though I did not say it out loud. I sat there for a bit longer though, as I just watched him looking around the camp, which would soon be no longer our camp.
I looked outside, and saw that it was still a slight bit dark... Which meant that it must be very early in the morning. I looked away, as I once again kept on packing my bags up with all of my supplies. Making sure that I put my blanket in first so that it did not stuff down all of my clothes, and that my clothes would be easy to pull out.
I then heard Padre begin to walk out of my tent, and I shook my head to myself, as I knew that my main focus just needed to be on get ready to leave. It was just like John had said... He was blunt with the words that he said to us, but it was also always just straight to the point as well.
Once made sure that I had everything that I needed from inside of the tent. I kicked out a bunch of leftover scraps of things that I had been using over the last couple of days, and then I picked up the chair that Padre had been sitting in just a few moments ago as well.
Once I had all of that done, I got out of my tent, and then I got ready to undo the tent, which was going to be a lot easier that it was going to be setting up the tent that we were going to sleep in tonight. I wondered what camp place we were going to be setting up shop next.
Suddenly it came to mind that we might not be setting up shop in a camp next. If I was getting ready for the next step of all of this... That must mean that I was going to finally get to meet up with the legion right? A part of me then suddenly began to become quite a bit excited at the same time as well.
I then quickly began to take off the parts of the tent that were stuck into the ground, a bit faster than I usually would be when I would first wake up in the morning. I was excited to find out what the next part of my journey would entail in my story.
As I finished up taking apart my tent, I then put the rest of it into the bag that I would be carrying on my back, along with a couple other of my supplies as well. Once I was done, I looked around at the camp site, to see that everyone was up, and they were all doing to same as well.
I looked over, and I saw that John was just sitting on a log, and he was writing something on a book, that I had seem him using quite a few times before. Though I had not asked him about it, because I knew he was not going to give me a full response to what I had just asked him in the first place.
I saw that my father was having a bit of trouble with his tent, which came as a surprise, because he used to be good with that sort of stuff, and he had the easiest and smallest tent out of all of the rest of us as well. Padre was also done, as I am sure him and John were one of the first 2 to finish.
Hell... John might have stayed up all night, and he might have already done it last night before I had even fallen asleep for all that I know. I shook my head, and then I began to walk over to him anyways. I then sat down on the log right beside him.
I sat there for a few moments, just thinking, and wondering if I should ask him a question. Though I knew that his answer would just lead to a lot more questions in my head. Even simple questions he would always give a confusing response to, which would always leave me guessing.
I shook my head, and then decided to just leave it be, and just enjoy the silence, and the peace that was going on around me. I remembered how tired I was as well, as I nearly fell back asleep somehow, on the uncomfortable log that I was sitting on.
However I did not fall asleep, as I my mind was then focused on the footsteps that were walking over to me and John right now. I opened my eyes to see who it was, as I saw that John was doing the same thing as well. We both had the same thought, which was something that was quite rare between us.
I looked over and I saw that it was just Padre, as he came a bit closer to us, he then nodded at John, and then he nodded to me as well. He sat down on one of the logs as well, but he had come here for another reason, than to just sit down with me and John clearly.
He sat there for a few moments however, as John just went back to writing down on his book. It was just dead silence, and you could not even hear crickets either, it seemed like the dragons had killed all of those as well.
I then looked away, figuring that Padre was just going to leave what he was thinking about to himself, as I looked around, wishing that I had put on a jacket, or at least a long sleeved shirt this morning. I had clearly not remembered how cold it was beginning to get... Especially when you were waking up early in the morning as well.
I shook my head, and then rubbed my hands against my arms, shivering quite a bit. I hoped that it would warm me up, at least just for the short moment, but it did not give me such luck. I shook my head though, and then I looked up at Padre as I saw that he had finally decided to speak to John.
"So John... You still have not told any of us... Where are we going?"
