NEW STORY...MATURITY PLEASE.
(Let me know in the comments if I should continue this story. Input please)(It hurt. It wasn't something she was used to before Hank pulled her off the streets. She couldn't handle it, her body hurt and her head...mentally and physically. She didn't think he'd be that mad about her getting a job. But then again, he gets mad at her if there's a droplet of water on the counter or a fork in the sink)
(She had to push past all the shit he did to her mentally and physically because he still cared for her. At least that's what she thought. Her co-workers and some friends would see the bruises, the cuts, and knotted hair, and tell her that she needs to get out, and get help...but she would always deny any sort of assumption they had. She'd blame it on herself)
"I could've done this"
"I could've changed that"
"I should've"
"I would've"
(As someone who was raised by Chicago's known sergeant, who switched her life around for the better, she felt she took millions of steps back being with him. But she couldn't find the power, or literal strength to leave him. So as she laid in the corner of the room, cowardly pressed against the wall with her hands shaking, her lip cut, and her body shaking from the fear and pain, she still couldn't find a reason to leave him...how stupid of her)
(She breathed in and swallowed, trying to calm her shaking down as she watched the door to make sure he didn't come back into the room. She slowly moved off the wall and flinched back against the wall when she heard a door slam shut. The front door. He was leaving. She carefully pushed herself away from the wall, whimpering at the pain in her abdomen from when he kicked her with his steel toed boot, and pushed off her knees to stand up and make her way into her bathroom. One of her arms stayed wrapped around her stomach while the other moved to the side and switched on the lights before she moved in front of the mirror and looked at herself)
(Her eyes filled with tears. Why did she stay with him? Why was she not leaving him? Voight raised her to have her own voice...why wasn't she using it? Maybe because when she did, she'd get beat, or when she'd be to silent, she'd get beat...there was never a win win situation for her. It was either get beat, get ignored, or get beat...again. She finally let it out, breathing in hard when it hurt as her body shook from her cries)
E<"don't cry,(she whispered, closing her eyes and dropping her head, her left arm that was wrapped around her waist squeezing the material of the shirt she was wearing),breathe"
"Your worthless"
"Fucking useless"
"Your a stupid slut...I don't need you"
"Go fuck yourself how bout that...I don't give a single damn about you or what you do...you can leave for all I care"
(She ignored the pain in her abdomen and let herself cry. The words he said to her stuck with her. She really was all those things, but it still didn't give her a good enough reason to leave him. He'd find her, and beat her for leaving even if he told her to)
(Her train of thought was interrupted when a gentle knock was sounded at her front door. Erin breathed in and whimpered, lifting her gaze up and waiting patiently to see if the person knocked again. She looked into the mirror and wiped her tears away, fixed her hair before making her way to the door slowly after the person knocked again)
E<"w-who is it"?(she asked, her voice shaky)
H<"it's me kid...open up"!
E<"shit...(she whispered),yeah just give me a minute,(she limped back into her room and opened up her makeup bag, sighing when she saw no more foundation in her bag. She's gonna have to do with concealer and maybe some lip balm. She quickly and gently put some makeup on before checking her appearance again and than made her way to the door, looking down at her shaky hand as it twisted the knob after unlocking it. She kept her left arm wrapped around her stomach as she opened the door, giving him a short smile),hey"
