Chapter Seventeen

The next morning, Brizee woke up and felt someone kissing her neck. She turned and looked at Nick. He smiled and kissed her softly on the mouth.

"Good morning, beautiful," Nick said.

"Good morning," Brizee said. He kissed her again. They began making out when Emily started crying. Nick groaned. Brizee kissed him and got up and fixed her robe and went to the nursery and picked up Emily.

"Good morning, sweetie," Brizee said. She changed Emily's diaper and took her downstairs to get her a bottle. The doorbell rang. Nick came downstairs dressed and took over feeding Emily. Brizee opened the door and saw AJ and Alicia.

"Hey guys, come on in," Brizee said. They came in and followed her to the kitchen where Nick was. Brizee took Emily and went upstairs. She got dressed and got Emily dressed and went downstairs with her and sat down at the table.

"So what is going on," Alicia said.

"Well, I'm sure you know what Nick asked me," Brizee said.

"Yes," Alicia said.

"Well, I gave him my answer last night, we are getting married and I'm going to adopt Emily," Brizee said. AJ and Alicia smiled and hugged them.

"Congratulations!" Alicia said hugging Brizee.

"Thanks," Brizee said. Alicia pulled Brizee upstairs. Brizee laid Emily in the playpen and sat down on the bed in her room. Alicia closed the door.

"Briz, what's wrong," Alicia said.

"Things are happening too fast, I've only known Nick for three months, last night, he wanted to make love to me, for some reason, I wanted him to," Brizee said.

"Because you've fallen for him," Alicia said.

"Yes, I have," Brizee said.

"Brizee, there is nothing to be scared of, Nick is a great guy, he was very forgiving with Hayley, especially after her sleeping with Brian for three months behind Nick's back, he loved her deeply and didn't want to lose her, but she lied to him, she lied her way into his life, but he wouldn't have Emily, but AJ and I were talking last night, Nick has been so much happier since you came into his life, the guys and I can tell that you and Nick belong together, and we see you with Emily and it was fate brought you to Emily and Nick, we could tell from the moment you first held Emily, there was a connection, Emily stopped crying when you picked her up, AJ told me  that, they heard Emily crying and you went upstairs to get her and they heard her stop crying and you brought her downstairs and tried to give her to Nick and she started crying, and you took her back and she stopped crying, it was like she wanted you as her mother," Alicia said.

"I love this little girl more than anything in the world, I don't want to be without her," Brizee said. Alicia gazed at Emily.

"I want a baby," Alicia said.

"Have you and AJ talked about it?" Brizee asked.

"Yeah, he said he's not ready," Alicia said.

"Are you okay?" Brizee asked.

"I love AJ more than anything in this world, I want a life with him, but I don't know if he wants to be committed to one person forever," Alicia said.

"Ali, just talk to him, tell him how you feel," Brizee said.

"I will, I know I can't be without AJ," Alicia said. Brizee picked up Emily and they went downstairs to where the guys were. Alicia dragged AJ out the door. Brizee sat down with Emily in her arms.
