Chapter Thirty Six

Two months later, Brizee was four months along and enjoying it. She was home with Lizzie while Nick was at the store. The doorbell rang. She put Lizzie in her playpen and went and opened the door and saw Kevin standing there. He came in and she closed the door.

"Kevin," Brizee said.

"Is Nick home?" Kevin asked.

"He's at the store, I was craving ice cream and we are out of ice cream," Brizee said heading for the living room. He pulled her back against him.

"Kev, what are you doing," Brizee said as he held her against him.

"I still have feelings for you, I still want you," Kevin said moving her hair and kissing her neck.

"Kevin, are you crazy, I'm over you," Brizee said.

"I can't help it, Briz," Kevin said kissing her neck. She tried moving away from him but he wouldn't let her go. He pulled her into the downstairs bedroom and closed the door. He pushed her on the bed and got on top of her.

"Kevin, no, we can't do this, I don't feel the same way anymore," Brizee said. He began kissing her and removing her clothes and removed his. She tried to push him off but he held her wrists down to the bed.

"You want this, Briz, as much as I do," Kevin said.

"I don't!" Brizee cried.

"You started it by kissing me at the hotel, remember," Kevin said. He laid between her legs and pushed inside her. He kissed her neck as he moved. He came inside her. He laid beside her. She grabbed her clothes and got dressed and ran out the door and got Lizzie and ran up the stairs to the nursery and closed the door and locked it and saw in the rocking chair holding Lizzie close.

Kevin got dressed and left and a few minutes later, Nick came home and put the ice cream in the fridge and looked around for Brizee and Lizzie. He walked into the downstairs bedroom and noticed the bed and recognized the smell in the room and he went upstairs and saw the nursery door shut. He tried the doorknob and it was locked. He listened and heard crying. He knocked.

"Briz, honey," Nick said. The door opened and Brizee stood there crying.

"Oh god, Nick!" Brizee cried as she fell into his arms. He held her as she cried.

"Baby, what's going on, what happened," Nick said. She pulled him to their bedroom and sat down on the bed.

"Kevin was here, he said he still has feelings for me, I told him that I was over him, that I didn't feel that way, he started kissing my neck and held me close to him, I tried to pull away, he wouldn't let me go, he pulled me to the downstairs bedroom and pushed me on the bed and got on top of me, he pulled my clothes and his clothes off and held me down while he had his way with me, I told him no, Nick, I told him that it can't happen, that I don't feel the same way anymore, he wouldn't listen, after he was done, I grabbed my clothes and got dressed and got Lizzie from her playpen and came upstairs to the nursery and locked the door," Brizee said sobbing. She covered her face with her hands. He held her close.

"Oh god," Nick said.

"I didn't want it, Nick, I didn't want it to happen, I didn't want him, I tried to push him away but he wouldn't let go, he held on tight, he was hurting me, Nick, my wrists hurt from where he held me down, I was scared, I tried to push him off of me," Brizee said. Nick cupped her face in his hands. He kissed her forehead.

"I love you, so much, you, Lizzie, and our unborn child are my life, I will do anything for you," Nick said.

"I want to take a shower," Brizee said.

"Let's go to the hospital, baby, to get checked out," Nick said. Brizee nodded. He got Lizzie and they went to the hospital. Dr. Kelly checked her over. She took pictures of her wrists.

"He took you by force, bruises on the wrists shows that he held you down," Dr. Kelly said.

"Is my baby okay?" Brizee asked.

"As far as the tests show, yes, the baby is fine, I want you to rest, okay," Dr. Kelly said. Brizee nodded. Nick took her home. He called Brian and Leighanne over. He called Alicia, AJ, Howie, and Leigh over. Brizee laid down in bed with Lizzie while Nick was downstairs. Brian, Leighanne, Howie, Leigh, AJ, and Alicia came in.

"Nick, what is going on," Brian asked.

"Your cousin came over here and raped my wife, that's what," Nick said.

"What!" Brian said.

"Yeah, he came over and pulled her to the downstairs bedroom and pushed her on the bed and pulled her clothes off and held her down, Dr. Kelly got pictures of Briz's wrists, she has bruises," Nick said.

"She told Kevin no," Leighanne said.

"She told him to let her go, that she didn't feel the same way, I believe my wife, guys, she is very upset, she was sobbing when she told me," Nick said.

"I can't believe him," Brian said.

"He did this with my daughter in the house," Nick said.

"Leighanne, Alicia, Leigh, stay with Brizee, guys, let's go have a chat with my cousin," Brian said. Nick, Brian, Howie, and AJ went out the door.
