Chapter Thirty Seven

Nick, Brian, AJ, and Howie arrived at Kevin's house and went inside and saw Kevin sitting on the couch, watching TV. He looked up and saw them and turned off the TV.

"Hi guys, band meeting?" Kevin asked.

"Where's Kristin, Kevin," AJ said.

"Went to the store, Jared's asleep in his crib," Kevin said.

"You can guess why we are here," Brian said coldly. Kevin looked at Nick and saw him balling his fists and looked like he was going to kill him.

"I guess you guys know about me and Brizee," Kevin said.

"So, Kev, what exactly happened?" Brian asked.

"We had hot passionate sex," Kevin said.

"Bullshit!" Nick yelled.

"You raped her, Kevin," Brian said.

"She wanted it as much as I did," Kevin said.

"Then how did her wrists get bruised, huh, how come she was a sobbing mess when I got home, you forced yourself on my wife and raped her, she told you no!" Nick yelled.

"Nick, she's in denial, she made all that up to keep you from leaving her," Kevin said.

"You fucking bastard!" Nick said jumping on him and punching him. Brian and AJ pulled Nick back and held him.

"Kevin, why are you doing this, huh," Howie said.

"I wanted her, I seduced her, she is irresistible," Kevin said.

"Kevin, you are married to Kristin and you two have a son, Brizee is not your wife, she is Nick's wife and the mother of his children, you have told us over and over again that you can't live without Kristin, if you keep going after Brizee, you will lose Kristin, and your son, open your eyes, Kevin, Kristin is your wife, not Brizee, you will lose everything if you keep going after Brizee," Howie said.

"I can't help how I feel!" Kevin said. Kristin came in and saw them.

"What is going on," Kristin said.

"Nothing, Kris, just a little meeting," Kevin said.

"Tell her the truth!" Nick said.

"Nothing going on, Kris, Nick's upset about something, no big deal," Kevin said.

"If you don't tell her, we will," Brian said.

"Kevin, what is going on," Kristin said.

"I slept with Brizee again today, okay," Kevin said.

"More like raped her!" Nick said angrily.

"He took her by force, Kris, she's got the bruised wrists to prove it," Brian said.

"Oh my god, Kevin, how could you do this!" Kristin said.

"I didn't rape her, she wanted it!" Kevin said.

"You are obsessed with her, you are sick!" Kristin said. She went upstairs and packed a bag and got Jared and went downstairs.

"I'm filing for a divorce, and full and sole custody of Jared, you don't deserve to see him after what you've done," Kristin said. She went out the door.

"I'm getting Brizee and Lizzie and we are going out to the house in California, you stay the hell away from us," Nick said angrily before going out the door. Brian and AJ shook their heads and followed. Howie looked at Kevin.

"Good job, Kev, you've lost everything, stay away from Brizee or she'll press charges, god, you could have harmed her unborn child!" Howie said. He went out the door. Kevin sat there and thought about everything.

Nick arrived home and went upstairs and saw Brizee in bed with Lizzie. He woke them up.

"Hey baby," Nick said.

"What's going on," Brizee said.

"The guys and I confronted Kevin, he denied it but we have proof and Howie told him to stay away from you or you will press charges, anyways, we are going to the house in Marathon," Nick said. Brizee nodded and got up and packed a bag for both of them and Lizzie and they shut everything off and packed the car up. Nick drove down to Marathon.

"I made sure to tell the guys that we were going to California, just a cover to give us space to where Kevin won't know where we are," Nick said.

"Good, I never want to see him again," Brizee said. She held his hand.

"Me either," Nick said.

"Nicky, I love you more than anything in the world," Brizee said.

"I love you, too," Nick said kissing her hand.

"I'm not lying to you about anything, everything happened the way I said, I can't lie to you, Nicky, it's too hard for me to lie to you,"Brizee said.

"Baby, I know you were telling the truth, you wouldn't have bruised wrists if it was mutual sex, he raped you, he took you by force," Nick said. Brizee looked back and saw Lizzie sleeping.

"When we get to the house, I need you to hold me," Brizee said.

"I will hold you and never let go," Nick said. Brizee smiled and leaned her seat back and went to sleep. She woke up awhile later and saw she was in a bed. She sat up and looked around. Nick came in with their bags.

"We are here, baby," Nick said.

"Hold me, Nicky," Brizee said.

"I will, I locked up the house, the car is in the garage, no one knows we are here," Nick said. He laid on the bed and pulled her close and they went to sleep holding each other.
