Chapter Eight

Two months later, Hayley was five months along in her pregnancy. She and Nick had gotten married a month before in Tampa. They were in Atlanta for Brian's wedding. After the ceremony, they went to the reception. Nick helped Hayley sit down at a table. He sat down beside her and held her hand.

"You okay, baby?" Nick asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I've still haven't been able to forgive Brian for what he did," Hayley said.

"I know, baby, but we are together, married, having a baby, Brian just got married to Leighanne, he's happy with her, the song he wrote for her said it all," Nick said.

"I know," Hayley said. Nick leaned over and kissed her forehead.

"I love you, baby, nothing is tearing us apart, nothing," Nick said. Hayley smiled and nodded. Brian and Leighanne came over to them.

"Leighanne, this is Hayley, Hayley, this is Leighanne," Brian said. Hayley and Leighanne shook hands and Leighanne sat down beside her.

"Brian told me everything, I hope one day you'll forgive him, so we can get together for some girl stuff and everything, I would really like to be friends with you, Kristin said that you are a great friend to her, Alicia said the same thing, I want us to get along, maybe double date once in awhile," Leighanne said.

"We can do that, we can get together for girl talk and we can be friends," Hayley said. Leighanne smiled and hugged her.

"I promise there is no hidden agenda or anything, I'm an honest person," Leighanne said. Hayley smiled and nodded. Brian and Leighanne went to talk to other guests. Hayley looked at Nick who was gazing at her.

"What," Hayley said.

"I love you, you are amazing," Nick said kissing her hand.

"I love you, too," Hayley said. They watched Brian and Leighanne share their first dance. Hayley watched as Brian stared in Leighanne's eyes and smiled. Nick helped her up and they joined the couples on the dance floor. Hayley smiled and rested her head on Nick's chest as they danced. Nick's hands rested on her waist and one hand caressed her stomach. He kissed her forehead. She looked up at him and smiled. She cupped his cheek with her hand and kissed his lips softly. After the song was over, they sat down and talked with Kevin and Kristin. Another slow song came on. Nick and Hayley got back on the dance floor. They were talking when Brian and Leighanne came over.

"Can we cut in?" Brian asked. Nick shrugged and danced with Leighanne. Brian and Hayley began dancing.

"Doing okay?" Brian asked. Hayley nodded.

"Ceremony was beautiful," Hayley said.

"I wanted to give Leighanne her fairytale wedding, like Nick did with you, you and Nick's wedding was amazing, Hayley, I am truly happy for you two, I am totally and completely in love with Leighanne, any feelings I had for you are gone, I hope you'll believe that," Brian said. Hayley looked at him and nodded.

"I do now, I believed it when you sang that song to Leighanne, and how you couldn't keep your eyes off of her, I forgive you, Brian, and I want you to be the godfather to the baby, you, Kevin, AJ, and Howie," Hayley said. Brian smiled.

"I'm honored and I will be the best godfather to this baby," Brian said. Hayley smiled and hugged him. Nick and Leighanne smiled as they saw them hug. They came back over and collected their spouses. Nick and Hayley sat down.

"You okay?" Nick asked.

"I am now, I forgave him, Nick, and I want him, AJ, Kevin, and Howie to be the godfathers to our baby, and I want Kristen, Alicia, and Leighanne to be the godmothers," Hayley said. Nick smiled and kissed her hand.
