Soulmates

Chapter 8

Tsukishima's POV:

I quickly set my bag down, got the supplies and food for the party, and ran to go find Kuroo to get things set up. I reached Kuroo and explained to him in further detail what my plan was. He helped me pick the perfect room to set up the party. The room happened to be one of there many gyms.

As we were setting up, I felt something on my arm. I raised my arm up to see what it was. It was writing from my Soulmate.

'Can we talk?' I flinched in excitement and surprise.

"Kuroo do you have a pen on you by chance?" I asked hurriedly. After a minute or two we finally found a pen. I wrote back

'Yeah. What do you want to talk about?' I stared at my arm in anticipation. Writing almost showing up immediately.

'anything. Maybe just facts about ourselves or something.'(y)

'Sure. What do you want to know?'(t)

'How old are you? What is your favorite color? And what is your gender?' starting off with the basic question I see.

'I am 16 and two months. My favorite color is green, and I am a male. What about you?' As I waited for a response, I hoped that the answers would be the same as what I hoped.

'I just turned 16 today. My favorite color is yellow, and I am also a male.' I start jumping for joy. Yes, this is more proof that its Yama. As I'm still jumping, I hear snickering from beside me. I then remember that I am not alone. I quickly turn and make him promise to never tell anyone what he saw. Then remembering that his soulmate is still waiting for an answer. I try to figure out how to respond and finally come up with,

'that's cool. Do you have any other questions you want to ask?' he takes no time in shooting out more questions.

'Where do you live? Do you have siblings? Do you play any sports?' Thinking about what I want to say. I could be a smartass and say I live in Japan, but I'm feeling nice today.

'I live in the Miyagi Prefecture in Japan. I have one older brother. And I play volleyball.' I wait impatiently for him to reply to my answers.

'I also live in the Miyagi Prefecture. I don't have any siblings. And I also play volleyball.' As soon as I read those words there was no doubt in my mind that it was anyone other than Yama. It had to be him.

As I was reading off my arm intently, I could feel someone over my shoulder. It was Kuroo. I forgot he was here. I turn around to see him smirking at me. He had a knowing look on his face that just screamed I know everything and I'll tell everyone. I hid my arm and got back up telling him that we needed to continue setting up.

There was no reply from my soulmate so I figured they had something else to do. Thus, I forced it to the back of my head and continued set up. Even though I wasn't thinking about it Kuroo sure was. He kept asking me about who I thought it was and what I was gonna do if I found out who it was. We continued to talk and set up until finally I had had enough. I didn't want him asking anymore questions so I told him. I explained to him that I thought it was Yamaguchi and the evidence I had to back me up. I also told him I wanted to confess tonight but was super nervous about it. Thus, he decided to help me confess to him. We were still setting up when, but we were also going through scenarios of what I could say. After a while of talking we came up with the straight forward approach. I would just go up to him and tell him I liked him when I gave him his gifts.

Now that we figured out how and what I was going to say, we decided that I needed a practice run to make sure I could say it properly.

"Tadashi Yamaguchi, you have been my best friend for a long time, and I have something to tell you." I paused for a moment to let my heart calm itself slightly. "I love you and I think you are my soulmate." I say with confidence in my voice.

However, that confidence soon faded as I heard someone gasp from the doorway and sprint off. I turn quickly catching a glimpse of Yamaguchi running away. I freeze up and turn to Kuroo. I messed up. Oh geez, I messed up. How could I have been so dumb. He heard everything and now he hates me. Oh my goodness, what do I do?

Kuroo, sensing my panic, runs to my side and tries to calm me down. He sits with me beside him rubbing my back and calming my breath. As I come to my senses, I see Suga and some of my team running behind Yama, trying to catch up to him. Daichi runs into the gym asking if we have seen him only to stall at the sight of me on the floor with Kuroo's arms rubbing my back. Kuroo answers Daichi quickly and Daichi runs to tell the others. At this point I couldn't hear much; my thoughts were too loud. They were screaming at me to get up and get Yama, or to stay because I always knew that he didn't like me. As my thoughts got louder the world around me turned dark and everything went black.
