Anniversary Surprise

Forth POV

When I woke up around noon the same day, Beam was back in my unit. He never showed any animosity against me or even any slight change. It's as if nothing happened between us last night. When I tried to bring it up, he asked that we not talk about it. I respected his wishes. Nothing will be resolved anyway if he's not up to talking about it.

Beam approached me then brushed my hair. He looked at me intently while smiling then said, "Happy Anniversary!"

I did not let him notice my surprise. But feign as I might, I knew he knew it. I forgot about our special day.

"That's alright Forth. I know you have a lot on your mind lately. Especially since Uncle--I mean Papa Freddie, is expanding your family business..." Beam explained. "Which is why, I booked us a table at your most favorite resturant tonight to celebrate."

"Really? That's great love!" I gave him a peck on the lips as I rounded my arms on his waist. I know I should be the one who must make it up to him but I'm pleased with the fact that he's making an effort to keep our relationship going.

"I just have to attend a training this afternoon at the hospital. After that, I'll go to the resturant." Beam said.

"Oh okay. I'll drive you to the hospital then. I'll also fetch after your training so we'll head together to the resturant. Sounds good?"

"Sounds like a plan." Beam said with a wide smile before wrapping his arms around me and burying his head on my chest.

After preparing his things, I drove Beam to the hospital as planned. I grabbed a cup of coffee and a light snack on the way home. I don't want to ruin my appetite for our date late. I just fed myself enough to satisfy my hunger.

When I arrived back to my unit, I planned to just chill since it was my day off. But then I saw my guitar hanging by the living room wall and it sparked an idea...

Should I sing a song for Beam? I unhooked the guitar and began strumming. Immediately, my body felt a rush of nostalgia. And I started singing...

I spent the afternoon singing and playing the guitar. It was already past 5PM when I noticed the time. Well I'm sure Beam can forgive me if I mess up in my impromptu performance so I went to the shower to start preparing for our date.

I took my time to clean and groom myself. I wanted to be not just presentable but the most handsome guy for my lovable date tonight. It's the least I could do after all the things I have done to him, I hope I can make him happy especially in this special night.

I was choosing my outfit in my closet when I heard the doorbell rang. Could it be Beam? Did the training end sooner than expected? I rushed to wear a boxer shorts and ran towards the door.

I opened the door. "Sorry Beam I'm still not dressed. I got lost with the surprise I made for..." I stopped when I saw someone I did not expect.

"Phi..." It was Wayo. He quickly entered and I was unable to stop him. "Are you going some place?"

I walked over by the couch, passing by Wayo along the way. "Beam and I have a date tonight." I said without turning to face him.

"Tell me what you wa--woah!" I was startled when Wayo suddenly backhugged me.

"P'Forth please! I wanna get back with you please!" His voice was trembling. Warm tears were flowing down my exposed back.

"I can be your side lover. I can be your whore. Anything as long as I'm with you again P'Forth..." There was desperation in his voice.
