T/N: This chapter title should've been the title 4 chapters ago. But I as expanded the story to give it more depth, it's been pushed back longer. Now we have come to one of the turning points of the story.

Forth POV

I pushed the cart forward towards my car as I exited the grocery store. Then, began loading the cart-full of items to loading them to my trunk. Canned goods, condiments, chips, and a special pack of spaghetti set for the food items. Shampoo, soap, detergent, toothpaste, and all kinds of household cleaners for toiletries. I drove off as soon as I was done with my task as I had another stopover before I go to my intended destination.

A bakeshop.

I already called ahead so I just needed to pick up my orders. Sweet delicacies called eclairs. With boxes in hand, I place them on the passenger seat. I smiled as a memory about them rushed to my mind.

T/N: I SWEAR BY THESE!!!! Chocolate ganache on top. Creamy custard inside. Flaky bread as base!!! I'm so lucky that Tinapayan's flagship store is located near my university. I can just sneak there and by a few pieces to keep myself sane. As you know I took up Chemical Engineering plus I was also an active student leader as part of the Central Student Council, our student political party SIKLAB as Legal officer, and in our program organization Chemical Engineering society as Grievance Committee Chair. Yeah, I need sweets to keep myself going.

I took one more look at the yummy treats on my side then sighed.

"Here I go." I exasperated audibly before zooming off to finally correct the mistake that I made.

Earlier that day...

I woke up up earlier that usual the next day. Perhaps subconsciously, my mind was thinking what transpired yesterday. With that in mind, I got off my bed and decided to start my day early.

I collected the leftover steak from the fridge and reheated it in the microwave. I figured I'll just eat it with bread and it will be a filling breakfast for me. As I watched the cold slice of meat turned round and round inside the illuminated box, mind drifted to what happened the night before.

I walked dad to his car after our emotional talk about our soon to be reunited family. Once more, I apologized for Wayo's behavior and assured him that I will make sure that Wayo will apologize. He didn't say anything and just smiled.

I turned in for the night and did not bother to look for my boyfriend. He needs to grow up and face reality. His childishness will be a detriment to their empire if he will to succeed Uncle Chris with that kind of attitude.

*Ting!*

The microwave chimed which made me return to my senses. I resumed making my breakfast by pouring some coffee grounds and water to the coffee maker before turning it on. Afterwards, I grabbed the remaining loaves and retrieved the reheated steak from the microwave. I was about to proceed to the dining table when my phone suddenly rang.
