Forth POV

But it didn't take long and I finally gave up on keeping myself from what I really wanted to do. I went back to the hospital and waited until the end of his shift before I showed myself to Beam.

"Oh! Hey Forth! Long time no see!" Beam greeted me when I walked towards him. To his surprise, I suddenly wrapped my arms around him.

"I missed you..." I whispered to his ear.

"I-I missed you too Forth..." He returned my hug and gave me a few taps on the back. Then we seperated and looked at each other. "Where have you been? You've been gone for so long?"

I didn't respond and just gazed at his curious face. There may be something wrong with his nose and teeth but his eyes... they shine sincerely and show me my reflection. They tell me that yes, I am in love with this person.

"Beam..." I held his hand.

He raised his brows as if waiting for me to continue.

"...can you be my boyfriend?" I said loud and clear.

His jawdropped. Other people walking around also stopped on their tracks. I don't care whatever others will say. I just know that I love Beam and I wanted to be with him.

""F-Forth? What are you saying? I-Is this some kind of joke?" He asked confused.

"No Beam, this is not a joke. I'm deadly serious about this." I told him directly. "Is there a problem? Here I thought you like me too?"

"B-But Forth, I'm not visually appealing like you, I'm..."

"Ssssshhhh..." I touched his lips using my forefinger to silence him or else he'll spew out more non-sense. "I want you Beam. That's the only thing you need to know."

Before the night ended, Beam finally said yes to my proposal. From that day on, we became officially boyfriends. I was so happy! After being away from him for so long, it was pure happiness and so much more. It wiped out all the loneliness and pain caused by my break-up with N'Yo.

I invited Beam to stay with me in my condo unit. He thought about it and after a week he moved in with me. It was one of the best decision I ever made, I felt like I earned an instant wife in a form of Beam. The way he takes care and pampers me was beyond compare.

Beam can truly be described as a homemaker which can be easily be discerned from his kind demeanor. Even if he's tired from work, my needs will still take precedence over his. In exchange, I acted as our provider because I don't want to take his money since he still helps at home. Everytime I'm sick, he'll take care of me and because of that, I loved him even more. Whatever he lacks in his appearance, he filled with his love for me.

When I started my relationship with Beam, I can say that my obnoxious attitude slowly diminished. I learned about so many things from him like being responsible with my finances. He always mentioned how lucky I was because I don't even need to work personally to earn money. Due to this, I gave more importance to things I hold dear.

Beam also taught me the love of family and being at peace with myself. I shared to him all my troubles and worries and he gave me clarity and direction on how to handle them. I forgave myself and my mother and also stopped blaming anyone about what happened to our family.

I'm thankful for Beam because my life turned a complete 180 ever since he came. A far cry to the former Forth that everyone knew.

As a token of my gratitude, I gave him a special gift. A ring that also symbolized my love for him. Beam was extremely happy when he received it. He said it was his first time to get a gift with that much value. The ring never left his finger since that night.
