Chapter 6

I didn't know what to do I was finally in the arms of the one I used to love for all these years. It was even more surprising that Lan Lâó śhî is Yunlan. How can a kid of 18 year old can be so talented to be admired this deeply. I had thought Lan Lâó śhî was a women of my age, but turned out it is a 'he' and is 11 years younger to me. This was  challenging to me, I not only have to fight against the criticism of being in relationship with a man but also with someone who is much more younger to me. I am not strong enough to face all this, but I am glad that Yunlan is standing right beside me and I can face anything if he still holds my hand. I hope he does not find about my past or else it will be a big trouble in our relationship.

I had returned back home after some sweet time with Yunlan and was yet to gather the thoughts around my mind. It was still like a dream that I am dating Lan Lâó śhî. Nothing mattered anymore as I was in love with him.  It's time to face others and fight for what I deserve. I always lived for Riju, my son was like my lifeline. I am glad I had Riju, but also feel sorry for him as I was unable to let him meet his mother. My past is better if it is forgotten and lost in time.

"Papa, you are back!"

"Yes....... " I look at Riju and find him standing awkwardly at the entrance of the hallway "What happened? Why are you......"

A voice rings out from behind him and my eyes widen when I see that person in my house. "Finally, I waited for so long.....welcome home"

I was shocked.....it was unbelievable that this person is in my house right now. How dare she step in my house and meet Riju. "YOU! What the hell are you doing here?"

"Calm down Wei, don't shout in front of my son"

"My son? When did he become your son?"

"He always was...."

I look at Riju, he was confusingly trying to understand our conversation. I knew it was not right for him to be here with us now. "Riju..."

"Yes papa?"

"Go to your room son.....didn't you say you have test tomorrow? I will bring some snacks for you....."

"Ahmm.....okay papa"

Riju glances at her for a second and walks away to his room. I walk into the kitchen and she follows behind. I prepare snacks for Riju and walk up the stairs with her still following me. I stop right in front of Riju's room and look at her.

"Get back to the living room, you are not allowed to see Riju"

"How can you say that, he is my son"

"I don't care....you are not allowed here. Go down before I call the police for trespassing"

She scoffs at me angrily and walks down the stairs stamping her leg. I knock Riju's door and open it slowly to see him sitting on his bed.

"Riju....here are some snacks.....eat this and don't worry about anything okay?"

"Papa.....she is my mother isn't she?"

"How...?"

"She told me before you came here"

"What else did she say?"

"She said she came here to take me with her"

"WHAT?"

I could see tears gathering in his eyes. "Papa....I don't want to go with her" he says with a slight tremble in his voice "Please don't send me with her. I don't want to leave you papa"

I immediately pull him in my embrace and pat his back in comforting way. I was beyond angry with this women. How dare she make a decision without talking to me. How dare she even tell this to Riju who is still a kid.

"Don't worry Riju....I am not sending you with her. You will always stay with me. I promise!"

"You promise?"

"Yes, son....now don't worry too much. Let me kick this guest out of our house. I will be right back okay?"

"Okay, papa!"

I close the door to his room and walk down fuming. My anger had raised 10 fold now and I saw her sitting on the sofa smiling at herself as if she owns this place. I walk towards her and stand in front of her.

"Now, tell me why are you here?"

"To take my son back"

"And who said you could take him?"

"Who's permission do I have to take to bring my son with me?"

"His father's and that's me"

"He is my son Wei....give him back"

"He is legally my son and he has no mother. If you want to take my son.....get a notice from the court. Till then you are not allowed to meet MY son"

"HOW DARE YOU! How dare you blackmail me....?"

"I can do anything to keep my son beside me.....whether to fight against the law or against his own cruel mother"

"I have right to take my son. I am his birth mother"

"Mother? When did you get that tag?"

"When I gave birth to him....he was always mine"

"You lost all the rights when you ran away abandoning him at the hospital. You could have told me you were going through something.......how could you just abandon Riju when he was few hours old"

"I was suffering that time....I did not want a kid. I had a dream, I needed to pursue it. My son would have hold me back. How can I take care of him and my pursue my dream together?"

"I don't care! The only thingI know is you abandoned him and you have no right to get him back. Get out of my house and stay away from my son"

"NO! I will take Riju with me. I have pursued my dream now. I am a famous celebrity and an actress. I can provide for my son."

"Ohh is it? What will you tell the media and people around you if they ask about Riju?"

"That's easy, I will tell them I adopted Riju from an orphanage. Create a false birth certificate and submit to the press. I will gain their sympathy and gain more popularity"

I clap my hands at her words "Wow.....just Wow! You are indeed a cruel women. I thought you are back for your son. But you are here to gain popularity and sympathy. You are doing this again for your career, not because you love your son. Now I will never allow you to take him with you. Go to the court and I will see you there"

I turn around and walk "Also, get out of my house or else I will call the police"

A few seconds later, a scarf was draped around my neck. She held on to the scarf tightly, where I was struggling to breath. This woman was trying to choke me to death. I try to escape, but I was getting helpless. I was getting difficulty to breath. I thought this was my end, I thought of Riju and Yunlan. What a sad way to die, by the hands of a women.

"PAAAPAAAAAA!"

I look up to see Riju standing there with tears falling from his eyes. He was trembling and crying profusely.

I tried to bring out my words "R-Rij-ju.....run t-to....y-yun-lan....go....n-now"

I hear her scream "NOOOOOOOO....... AHHHHHHHH....GET BACK HERE YOU BRAT.  WHERE ARE YOU GOING?"

She loosens her hands around me and runs behind Riju. I fall down on the floor trying to gather my breath. I take deep gulps of breath and was relieved that I was really alive. I needed to save my son now, I run out the door and behind her.
