Welcome to When Shadows Rise- an AU TMNT fanfic series. Many of my old fans know this, but to those of you who are new or have not been with me for very long, When Shadows Rise is a complete reboot from TMNT: Chaos & Magic— a TMNT crossover story that I started around 2018-2019. While that series holds some bad memories, without it, I don't think I would be here today without it. So in a way, it was the series that started it all.
Before I move onto When Shadows Rise Book 2: The Countess, the first book needs a MAJOR revisit. I want the storyline to make sense in a way that makes sense to you guys (plus I feel like I could do better so...). This means that any character, subplot, dialogue, or any part of this book will be edited, meaning there is a chance it could be taken out completely or rewritten (so if you guys don't see your favorite character or scene anymore, it's because it was either rewritten or taken out. Sorry 🙁). To not get confused about the changes regarding the plot, view the original When Shadows Rise and this revisited version as two very different things.

When Shadows Rise tells the story of teenager Talia Elbaz, who lives a privileged life and has all a girl could wish for. When her mother is killed right in front of her, her life changes forever. She crosses paths with the ancient Hamato Clan once realizing the ones responsible for her mother's death and the Hamato Clan's enemy are one and the same. As she delves into the world of ninjas, she uncovers dark secrets that raises more questions than answers.
