Yo, so i editted this chapter because i just realized that there's so many grammar, typo and sentences that doesn't match. Please don't be mad(?) and enjoy
Rain poured down in long knitting needles, angry grey clouds accompanied it.
Just as well, the weather matched my mood all too perfectly.
Putting one palm on the glass window, I watched as the rain poured steadily.
Drip, drop, drip, drop, boom.
A thunder joined the depressing musical.
The rain soon got pretty boring, I sighed and slowly walked towards my king-sized bed.
My eyes met the full length mirror that was inches away from the bed.
The girl in the mirror held my gaze, her icy blonde hair cascades in soft waves that ended just above her waist, her eyes in a shade of grey-blue projected anger and disappointment.
Her white cotton gown reaching her knees almost blended with her pale complexion.
I look pathetic and they say angels are beautiful creatures. I guess either I'm not an angel or I'm just ugly. I prefer the latter.
My feet continued their way to the bed and away from the mocking mirror. Once I was close enough, I threw myself on the white sheet. With the sudden force, the bed bounced but I dont mind.
I know, what's with all the white? I don't know either, I guess my so called 'family' likes to have a theme and apparently its white.
Im so bored. The door's locked and I'm pretty sure that two bulky guards stood on the other side of the door.
Father sent me to my room *cough prison cough* to think on my actions and blah blah blah.
I was given a short speech but painful nonetheless. No, I'm not talking about physical pain and he didn't even bat an eyelid.
#flashback#
Father stood on the front steps of the mansion. His wings in the color of snow was folded neatly on his back.
He actually looked like a beautiful statue, he may be my dad but our kind stayed young.
But as he talked, the spell was broken.
"Put her down." his deep baritone voice commanded.
The head guard obeyed automatically and soon enough my feet touched the hard pavement.
"This is inexcusable" His cold voice boomed.
"Your actions is a disgrace to the family name." he continued without giving me a say in this. As if I could, but nooo he just had to put a mute spell on me.
Certain creatures can use magic, small magic unlike sorcerers. Magic's not our expertise.
Well, it's not like I wanted to be a part this family but fate had other plans. Great.
"No, you're a disgrace, a dirty little black spot on a sheet of paper."
That hurts. As if he fired arrows straight to my heart, burning it in the process.
But he's not finished yet.
"And to top it all you don't even have wings!"
Ouch, that hit the spot.
I desperately kept my emotions in check and make sure my face displayed a blank expression.
I knew that, but to have it said out loud feels as if I've been slapped on the face.
Worse, it was from my father.
Through out all that mental abuse, not once did he look at me. That hurt the most.
"Mason, escort her to her room and lock the chambers. She needs time to reflect on her actions."
Mason, the head guard, bowed in acknowledge but father had unfurled his humongous wings and flew.
#end#
The rain had finally stopped and the sky cleared up, revealing it's vibrant light blue color.
It rarely rained here, so it was a surprise to most people that it did.
I sat on my bed, clueless on what to do.
I decided to take a look outside and walked to my transparent balcony door.
It opened with a soft clang.
I walked to the end of the balcony, a few angels flew over me.
A small chirp bought by attention, I frowned.
A bird? How come there's one here. So I scanned the area for the source of the chirp.
My eyes found the source of the noise that is none other than a kangaroo-mouse bird.
It's brown eyes glued to mine in curiosity and I couldn't help but wanting to pet it.
Kangaroo-mouse birds are protected creatures. They're loyal an usually shy.
Unconsciously, I cooed softly to the small animal, careful to keep the tone soft so not to scare it.
To my surprise it actually flew towards my hand, it landed without a sound.
I just stared in awe, this is first time I've seen a kangaroo-mouse bird up close.
I petted it's tiny head and it nuzzled my finger. I think it likes me.
But soon that moment ended and it abruptly flew away.
I watched it soar to the cloud coated sky until I can see it no more.
"Goodbye" I whispered softly.
"I wish I can be like you, flying, free."
