Mia woke up with a start, like at the back of her mind she knew that she didn't plan to sleep. And when her eyes snapped open, she found herself staring at Dan who slept soundlessly with his hair all over the place. She didn't want to be a creep and watch him so she just closed her eyes when she felt him stir. Mia adjusted the blankets around her and pretended to sleep as he woke up, yawning and stretching.
He breathed heavily and then just silence. She felt eyes on her, he was watching her. She forced herseld not to flinch when she felt him run the back of his fingers on her cheek, caressing it like it was a rose petal. Involuntarily, her eyes flinched so she opened them slowly and looked back at him.
Dan didn't say anything which was very unexpected cause she did expect him to joke or make a sexual joke. But all he did was smile and got out of the bed.
He walked inside his closet, probably looking for clothes. Lamiya turned around and looked at the alarm clock. It was six in the morning and she didn't understand why he was getting ready. He didn't leave for office before noon.
So once Dan was out of his closet, she asked him just that.
"Are you going to office?"
"Yeah." He yawned, rubbing his eyes. "I am working on new collection so the time is a bit mismanaged. Some days I have to go in the day sometimes at night." She nodded, dozing off to sleep again. She didn't want to go out of his room like some one night stand, instead she decided to stay there and just sleep.
Mia felt him fumbling around the room but she didn't open her eyes to see what he was doing. Instead she just simply dozed off.

"I have news and I am not sure whether it's good or bad." Lamiya had been gone out for a stroll in the evening and Zaidan was still not home. She was planning to go to her brother's but decided it was better not to because they both were in a situation where they wanted the other one to console them. So them being together wouldn't be very positive thing. Lamiya decided to let Yaman mourn his failed marriage before she went there and met him.
Besides Wais was there sometimes, babysitting Sami so Yaman wasn't alone. When she returned to the apartment, Dan was there and he looked like he had just showered. She fetched a water bottle and turned towards him, walking out of the kitchen with him following behind.
"What do you mean?" She asked, turning towards him.
"I met Craig. He had looked over the case and has decided that it would be best if we gave all the evidence to Marco Novak." Lamiya choked on her water, the liquid dripping down her chin as she stared at him wide eyed.
"The gangster?" Dan nodded, slipping his hands in to the pockets of his trousers. "You've met him?" Dan sighed in exasperation.
"No Lamiya I haven't, I don't associate with these kind of people. But Craig does." She scrutinized him.
"You called me Lamiya." She stated blankly.
"Well isn't that your name?" Lamiya frowned at his annoyed expression. "Just focus on what I am saying. Marco is a gangster, not very well known and that's what these people want; to be known amongst their community. So him having the evidence that would bring down another gang would make him big. You'd be safe. They'll be out of our hair." Lamiya thought over it, she understood where he was coming from. She knew she'd be safe but she didn't know what she was getting herself in to. What if she got in to another mess just to get out of one?
"Do I have to meet him?" She asked him anxiously, clutching her phone with her hands tightly. She didn't want to meet him and if he said she had to then she would send Wais. She just did not want to do anything with that part of her life. The mess of lies that she created, how she hurt Wais and how much of impact it had on her.
