Chapter 28: Arriving at Zou

"Shanna! Tell me more about what you did with Shanks!" Luffy shouted. He ran out of the cabin with a big piece of meat in his right hand.

"Again? You really don't get tired of hearing about him do you?" the redhead chuckled at the strawhat wearing boy. Shanna spent the past few days on Bartolomeo's ship telling Luffy the adventures she went on with Shanks, except she left out a lot of details of how she missed Law. "How about we take a break today? It's really foggy for some reason and who knows what might happen. We should be on a look out."

"But-"

"She's right Luffy. This fog isn't normal," Zoro interjected his captain.

The Barto Club pirates were busy throwing up due to seasickness, so Shanna dropped her hammer and grabbed a telescope from one of the crewmates and climbed up the crow's nest. "Shanna-chan! You see anything?" Franky shouted from below.

Shanna panned the telescope around. "I see something 2 o'clock!" She shouted. Her eyes squinted as she adjusted the telescope to focus better. When the image cleared up her eyes widened. "What the-"

"What's wrong?!" Zoro asked from below.

"It looks like a mountain, but it's moving! I think...."

"Hah?! You think? So is it moving or not?!" Zoro demanded.

Luffy's eyes started sparkling. "A moving mountain?! Let's check-"

Usopp slapped his hand over Luffy's mouth. "STOP IT! WE NEED TO FOCUS ON GETTING OUT OF THIS FOG FOR NOW!! WE'RE DEAD MEAT IF WE CRASH INTO THAT MOUNTAIN OR SOMETHING!"

"Wait up God," Law interjected, using Usopp's new nickname.

A cheeky smile spread over Usopp's face as he rubbed the back of his head. "God? Oh you... Stop flatter me... '200 million man' you say? Nawwww!" Little did he know that Franky was slowly creeping up on him with an intense anger boiling up inside.

Shanna jumped down from the crow's next with the telescope. "What's the plan?" she asked.

"The Vivre card is pointing that way," Law said as he held the piece of paper on his palm. The little piece of paper inched forward little by little towards the direction of the mountain she just saw moments ago. 

Luffy scooted over to check out the card. "Oh right! Doesn't that mean your crewmates are somewhere there then?" he asked.

As the ship continued to sail forward, a gigantic, dark shadow soon appeared amidst the fog. "I heard of an island that is protected by thick fog and a current that makes it hard to sail in..." Law explained.

"The wind's blowing in the opposite direction too. Fold the sails then, we're rowing in!" Franky shouted at the Barto Club.

"Aye-aye, sir! Blerrgh!" the pirates chanted weakly before throwing up.

As the ship got closer and closer, the shadow in the fog became clearer and clearer. Luffy's jaws dropped as his eyes widened. For a few seconds he wasn't able to utter a word. Shanna remembered the stories Bepo used to tell her as a kid, but seeing it in person was much more overwhelming. "T-Tra-guy....you...What..... THIS IS AN ELEPHANT ISN'T IT?!!!!" Luffy exclaimed.

"GYAAAHH!" Usopp screamed from behind as the Barto Club pirates gasped as well.

"Yeah, Zou is an island located on the top of an elephant, hence the name..." Law informed.

"EEEHHH? IT'S ACTUALLY ALIVE THEN?!" 

"An illusive island that's never in the same place. Always constantly moving...." Shanna recalled Bepo's words.
