Chapter 31: Without Shanna

When Shanna left, the Heart Pirates wandered around the islands near the Red Line for days, hoping to get some news of the girl. As days passed, and their captain got weaker and weaker from lack of food and sleep, they couldn't take it anymore. They had to do something, or else their captain might just die before they even reach the New World.

They used Jack to snap Law out of his misery, and force him to realize his responsibilities as captain. Then they devised a plan that could give Law hope that Shanna would one day return. "She might just be a little angry, and need some time on her own. One day, she'll want to return. I just know it. And what we have to do, is make sure she can find us when she finally decides to!" said Shachi. The pirates were all sitting around the dining table in the dining hall. 

Penguin sat next to Shachi. He nodded in agreement, but then thought for a second. "How do we do that?" he asked.

"We become famous!" 

"Famous?" Bepo, who sat across from them, tilted his head. 

"Yes, famous. Like, so famous that we're always on the newspaper! Something like that! I don't exactly know how we're gonna get that famous but I'm sure we can think of something!" Shachi crossed his arms. 

Law's eyes widened. Exactly! If they can't find Shanna, they'll just have to make sure Shanna can find them! "Shachi you're a genius!" Law exclaimed. 

"I am? Well I guess I am!" Relieved smiles returned to the Heart Pirates' faces when they saw energy return to their captain. Yes, his brain was working. He's now thinking, and plotting. With a goal in mind, he's no longer just sitting in his room sulking. 

Law came up with a plan. A plan he was sure would protect Shanna no matter where she is out in the sea. "I need to become a Seven Warlord."

The decision shocked many of the crew, but once they heard his reasoning, they all agreed that it was for the best. By becoming a Warlord, the government won't capture any of his subordinates, which includes Shanna. As long as she isn't dumb enough to tell them she's no longer affiliated with the Heart Pirates, the status of the Seven Warlord should protect her from the marines out there in the sea. Secondly, gaining the status of a Seven Warlord will grant Law access to a lot of information he needs, such as information on Doflamingo, as well as possible information to Shanna's whereabouts. 

And that was what lead to the Rocky Port Incident.

Rocky Port is a port town that became a crucial stopping point for pirates sailing on the Grand Line. It's located on a prosperous island called Montmond with an incredible amount of food source. Not only was the soil rich, but the seas were also full of minerals that grew healthy coral reefs and fish. The port was always full of pirates who came to restock. Because of how popular this place is, there was also a large troupe of marines based here to keep order.

Normally pirates try to stay down low here because of the marines. The marines also turn a blind eye to the small fry pirates, or so they tend to call them, and let the sea dictate their fate.

For years this place has been considered peaceful...up until Trafalgar Law decides to turn it upside down.

It was a sunny day when the Heart Pirates arrived here at Rocky Port. They were quite infamous on the Grand Line due to their captain and vice captain being part of the 12 Supernovas. All the more reason to lay low. However, Law had no intention of laying low. 

"How are the preparations?" he asked as he looked down on the pirate ships docked at the port from a bell tower in the port city. Ten, no fifteen pirate ships. It was more than enough for his plan.

"All is prepared Captain," Penguin reported, holding binoculars to his eyes to check on the state of the situation. At the docks, Shachi and few other Heart Pirates dressed as normal civilians blended in with the crowd. From the binoculars, Penguin could see Shachi holding an 'ok' sign with his left hand.
