The promise

As I'm standing outside Malfoy's Family Manor thinking about how I'm going to get inside and my body starting to get really cold, I hear a quiet and soft voice that comes from my left side.

-" You are not allowed to be here! Go away before it's gonna be late! "

I looked aside but didn't see anything,
For a second I thought I'm just crazy but then I heard - "Down here!"

I looked down and saw Dobby, I sat down on my knees in front of him.

"Oh my god, Dobby! you are so small! "

"Stop it! You need to go before Lucius will see you !"

"You know who I am ? "

"You are a friend of Harry Potter, Of course, I know you ." He folded his arms over his chest.

"Yes, Yes I am ... Dobby listen I need help I-"

"You want to see Draco Malfoy." He looked at me with his mad but such a cute face.

"Wh-hat how did you-"

"Dobby saw Draco and Tessa running to the cabin together the night of the Yule Ball."

he didn't look happy, I saw some worry in his eyes.

"Dobby-"

"Shhhh! " He pointed his finger on me -

"Tessa needs to stay away from Draco if Tessa wants to stay alive. "

"Wait Dobby ... If you know then Harry-"

"No. Dobby didn't tell Harry  potter, about Tessa and Draco,
Dobby knows that it will break him ."

He looked down with sad eyes.

"Dobby listen, I really need to speak with Draco. It's very important! "

"Dobby can't help Tessa, It's better you stay away, and then Dobby will be sure that Harry Potter will also be happy and not broken ." He gave me a little shy smile.


"Dobby, I promise that if you help me to see him tonight,
it will be the last time and I will try my best to stay away from him. Please Dobby ... "

for a minute he was silent but then he raised his eyes to me.

"Fine. Dobby will help Tessa, But Tessa have to promise it's the last time she comes here"

I doubted for a moment but then agreed, I knew it was my only option.

"Alright I agree, I promise. "

Dobby took my hand and snapped his fingers.

"Oh my god..." I was shocked. The next moment we were in Draco's room.

The first thing I saw was Draco sleeping in his King size bed, I turned to Dobby.

"Thank you so much! You don't even know how much it means for me ! "

"You have until the sun will rise, Then Dobby will come here and get Tessa back to Hogwarts."

And again by snapping his fingers disappeared leaving me there.

I looked around me - Almost every little thing here was made of gold or silver,
I saw a desk that was filled with his Drawings, I saw a big closet and a big bed which stood by a window from where you could see the little lights of Hogwarts.

I came closer to his bed and sat on it, I took my hand and ran it gently over his face -

"Draco.." I whispered really quietly.

He started to open his eyes really slowly, But the second he saw me - sat on the bed and scratched his head.

"Are you crazy? What are you doing here? How did you even get in ?"

He was so confused but so attractive at the same time.
His Green eyes were staring at me as if he saw me for the first time.
I could tell that he was surprised to see me.

"Dobby, Dobby helped me ."

"This stupid elf-"

"It sounds like you're not really happy to see me here. " I said and got up from the bed.

He didn't answer so I kept going -
"Listen Draco, I know that the last time we talked our conversation went wrong and-"

"I can't believe you still don't get it! " He got out of bed and all I could see was his beautiful half-naked body, for a second I even forgot what I came for but then I came back to reality.

"You know what? You are right, I don't get it."

"Tessa I-"

"I don't get why you act this way, I don't get why you have to lie to yourself and to me that you don't have feelings,
I don't get why you want me to stay away and the biggest thing that I don't get is why do you think I believe your words you said to be the last time in your room ."

Draco sighed heavily and went to the little bedside table, pulling out a bottle of expensive whisky.

"And that is your solution? To drink? Are you kidding me ?"

He ignored my words while taking out a glass and pouring this burning liquid there.
He took a sip and his eyes landed on mine for a second, but then he took a few steps toward the window and looked outside.

-"I'm the chosen one ." Said Draco standing with his back to me, I could see he took one more sip.

"I know," I answered quietly.

A moment of silence covered the room.

"What do you mean you know?" He finished the whisky in his glass.

"I-I know you got an order to kill Dumbledore ."

He turned to me and the next thing I know was Dracko standing really close to my face,
I could read the fear in his eyes, The confusion, and the regret.

"How do you know?" He asked me through clenched teeth, I felt his anger.

"No Tessa! You can't tell him about Harry! "

"I asked you a question Mudblood!" I was lucky it was almost 3 Am, And he couldn't yell.

"Draco I-" I tried to look away but he grabbed my chin and I got scared.

"Last Time.. How do you know?" His pupils dilated and he began to breathe heavily which made me even more frightened.

"I heard Snape's conversation with your father ."

"When ?"

"I-In class today, Draco -"

He took a few steps back, put the glass on the table, and grabbed his head with both hands While walking around the room.

"Fuck!", "Fuck!" He screamed and threw that glass off the table, The glass fell on the floor and broke into small pieces very loudly.

"Stop! What are you doing? Someone will come here !" And as I said it, we heard a knock on the door.

-" Draco! is everything alright there? " It was his father.

"Yes, father. I'm sorry I was about to drink some water and the glass fell !"

"Go to sleep! And stop making noises !"

"Yes, father."

We heard the footsteps moving further and further away from the door.

Draco grabbed my hand aggressively and sat me on the bad -

"Do you even realize how dangerous it is for you to be here ?"

"Well, Why do you care so much? I thought you don't have feelings for me ."

"God! It's not about feelings! It's about your life!"

"And since when has my life been so important to you ?"

He was silent for a moment and just stood there in front of me.

"Listen you little Mudblood, I'm the chosen one. And I will do what I have to -"

"Stop! It's not you Draco! It's the order you got from you know who -"

"-The Lord!"

"Fine! Whatever!So you got the order from the lord,
But it doesn't mean you have to accept it! "

He smiled and started to giggle.

"No! You really don't get it! If I don't kill him,I will be dead !"

"We can figure it out-"

"No! there is no "WE" and there is no "Figure it out" !"

"Draco stop!"

"No! You stop! I knew I shouldn't be with you that night!
Look at me! Look what I've become! I care about you and it wasn't supposed to be like it !"

I got up from the bed and made a few steps toward him until I could feel his breath on my face.

"Draco, You are not alone. "

"Stop."

"I'm here, I'm with you. " I took his hand.

"I said stop."

"I know that inside, right here-" I pointed on his heart, -" You are better."

"I SAID STOP! YOU DON'T KNOW ME !" He moved my hand and pushed me onto the bed.

I actually regret the moment I thought it was a good idea to come here.

"Listen Tessa, I will do what I have to, And if you or one of your stupid Dirty bloodline friends will try to stop me, I promise you I will not be as kind as I am right now ."

"Draco please-"

"Did you hear me ?"

"But he raised you! He gave you home-"

"Stop Tessa, Nothing will change my mind! "

"I feel so sorry for you Draco, I really am ."

"What ?" I saw the confusion in his eyes.

"You know, Your father made you become the person you are today."

He didn't say a word, He just took the bottle of whiskey and started to drink from it.

"I'm sorry for you Draco that because you didn't felt the love from him, you don't know how to love."

He kept on drinking while he just ignores me.

"Draco stop!" I pulled the bottle from his hand and put it on the table.

He sat on the floor and leaned against the wall behind him.
I sat in front of him on my knees.

"I don't know how to stop Tessa, I really don't know how! You see this-?"

He showed me his mark of the death eaters on his arm -" I'm Marked ! It's my destiny!".

"You're scared aren't you? " I took his hand, "It's ok, You can admit this.
It's only us two here."

"Maybe, But I still have to do it and i will."

"Draco-"

"I wish I could tell you something else. "

"Draco, Can I ask you one last question ?"

"Try ."

"Do you love me ?"

I could see that he wasn't ready for me to ask that, His green eyes started to get bigger and he looked away.

"Why would you ask it? "

"Just answer me ."

"Who cares? We could never be together - I'm a Slytherin and you are-"

"Mudblood. Yes, I know. "

"No, I meant to say Gryffindor."

"You know what? You right I should not come here ."

I tried to get up but he pulled me unexpectedly back to him, And the next second his lips already were on mine.

We started to kiss as if it was the last time we were going to see each other.

For a second I stopped and while trying to get some air I asked him -

"If you knew it was the last time you would see me tonight, What would you say to me ?"

Draco pulled me very close and I could see him trying to resist what he's about to say -

"I-I love you ."

As he said it Dobby appeared in the middle of the room.

-"Dobby needs to take Tessa back to Hogwarts, It's almost sunrise. "

I looked at Draco and my eyes started to fill up with tears, I knew that it was probably the last time he was going to see me.

Draco looked at Dobby -

"No Dobby, She's staying here! I will get her back later."

Dobby looked at me and then on Draco -

"No, Tessa made a promise and she needs to -"

"What? What promise? " Draco looked at me.

"Dr-raco I really need to go n-now. "

"What promise Dobby?" He looked at him mad.

"Dobby can't tell Draco, It's a promise Tessa made to Dobby."

"Draco stop, Dobby is right, I made a promise. I'm sorry. "

I got up and went toward Dobby, Took his hand, and before he tapped his fingers I looked at Draco - "I love you too" I whispered, staring straight into his green eyes.

When Dobby got me back to my room at Hogwarts he looked at me -

"Tessa will remember the promise she made right? "

"Yes."  I said with tears in my eyes being a second from a breakdown.

He tapped his fingers once again and disappeared.
As I'm standing there crying like a baby, Hermione woke up.
She couldn't see my face because I was standing with my back to her.

"Good morning to you too! I see you ready for class! Why so early ?"
 she said and I could hear her smiling.

"No, I'm not going today. "

"What do you mean you're not going ?" she sat on her bed.

"Didn't you hear ?! I'm not going! I'm not in the mood!"
 I screamed and left the room while slamming the door really hard.
