CHAPTER 26: Where is rylie?

"How about we'll try bungee jumping?" William blocked my way for the 6th time.

He was following me around since this morning to ask me again for our next date.

"Mr. Johnson. You're aware that everyone's looking at us right now don't you!?" I crossed my arms glaring at him.

He's been so keen in courting me this past few weeks, and i don't regret giving him another chance to start over.

Now, it was nice that I'm beginning to know William more by spending more time with him.

Rylie was no where to be reached. I tried calling him but he's not answering any of my calls. I thought of visiting him this week end. I hope his not mad at me.

"Come on! I won't step aside if you won't say yes." He spread his arms blocking my way grinning.

Oh! He's got to be kidding me.

"Mr. Johnson.. this is not a proper place to ask that." I whispered and  pushed his arms down.

"Don't care!" He spread his arms again and the people around us are whispering at each other.

"Okay okay fine! Just get out of my way..ugh!" I told him in annoyed tone.

He then smiled and allow me to pass, bowing as if I'm a queen passing by.

"What's that about?" I heard sandy catching up to me.

"Oh hi! Sand...." I smiled turning up to her.

"Hi your self!" He said crossing her arms. "Explain!" She said pointing on a direction.

"Oh- T-that was n-nothing sand. Uh- Wil-... Mr. Johnson just gave me instruction for tomorrow's board m..." She cut me off with her fingers.

"Oh stop denying Ath! We both know he likes you!" He hissed in a pissed tone.

My eyes widen by her outburst.

"S-sand..!" She's definitely mad right now. I have never seen her this mad.

Sandy heave a sigh as if she was calming her self.

"Okay! Now... you don't need to hide anything from me Ath. I like you more for William than.. that Sam woman!" She said crossing her arms again.

I'm speechless and just waited for her to say something.

"Hey!? Say something. Are you a couple now?" She asked raising her eye brow.

"W-what? No! Were not. Not yet!"

"Not yet? So you mean he has a chance?" she came closer as if she's about to whisper but then she said it out loud.

"Well... yeah!" I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Oh! I'm happy for you Ath! Don't worry, I'm here to help you with anything you need." She let out a squeal and  jumped up on me hugging me in excitement.

I sigh in relief that she wasn't mad at me.

"Hey don't get too excited there yet." I told her when she finally let go of me.

I went to Rylie's house to visit him, but Mr. Daughlas, their trusted employee told me that rylie wasn't been home for a month now. I have to talk to him and clear the air between us. I don't want him being mad at me.

I thought were cool when we came back from Maldives, but maybe he was just pretending to stop me from worrying about him.

"You okay?" William asked waking me from my reverie.

We went out to have a dinner in a fine dining restaurant, one of V's suggestion and I'm glad that we came here cause their lobster was so delicious.

"Oh yeah! J-just thinking about something." I smiled and peeled off the rest of the lobster.

"What's that?"

I'm hesitating to tell him that I was thinking about rylie. I know he hates him and I don't know if he's willing to help me.

I heave a sigh before saying "I need your help!"

He frown and smiled. "Sure. With what?"

"C-can you help me find rylie?"

His expression suddenly change. O-uh!!

"Is he missing?" I sense a bit of anger in his tone.

"Yes..no.. I mean.. I was tracking him for almost a month now and..this wasn't him.." I said in a worried expression.

I'm truly worried about rylie. What if his dad passed away and I wasn't even informed about it. I should be in his side condoling him.

William sigh. "You really cares for him huh?"

"Of course! I'm worried about him. He's dear to me." I explained. He just went silent.

"But.. you're dear to him in a different way right?" He suddenly say with a bit of jealousy.

"William! He was just a friend. I make sure of it.. unlike you!"

He pointed his finger in his chest. "Unlike me?"

"Yes you.. what about Sam? Did you tell her that you were courting me too? I mean, are you dating both of us at the same time? Oh God I'm going to be soooooo mad at you if you do."

"Wait.. what are you saying?" He asked as if he don't know what I mean.

"Oh stop pretending you don't know what I'm talking about William. You know, I liked her. She was pure, sincere, beautiful and..gorgeous that every man will dreamt of."

William chuckled that makes me irritated with him.

I hissed. "What so funny?"

He shook his head. "S-sorry.. you're just so adorable when your jealous."

"Who's jealous? Me?" I pointed at the tip of my nose. "Why would I be?"

"You don't have to Athena. You are perfect to me. Your the only one I want. No more no less..."

I went silent and hid a blush on my cheek. He was overwhelming me too much.

"..and about Sam. She was just a good  friend Athena. She was happily married now and she knows about my feelings for you." He grinned.

Did I heard him right? My mouth went wide open. I couldn't believe  what I heard. All this time I thought they're a couple.

"Yes you heard me right!" He said as if he was reading my mind. "..and about finding that rylie guy? Yes, I'll help you with that." He smiled in his most adorable way.
