Marrying a billionaire

CHAPTER 5: MENDING MY BROKEN HEART.

I told my parents everything that happened and they understand me. But they are still keen about the marriage.

It's Monday tomorrow and I have to face him again. But I'm not sure I'm ready to see him. I wanted to resign but I'm sure he won't accept my resignation. I have a plan!

I called Williams father and meet him at the restaurant. I gave him my resignation letter but he told me he can't decide on it. If I want to avoid William he told me that he can do something about it.

He relocated me in their second office on north five hours drive from here. I accepted his offer but he asked me to personally give the transfer letter to William. That was easy i said. I will just come early in the office and leave the letter in his table. It doesn't matter if he'll accept it or not.

I came to the office at 7:30am. An hour early and directly went to Williams office with the letter in my hand.

When i opened the door, my eyes widen and my jaw dropped when i saw him cuddling another girl in his lap. He looks like a mess, but he was still so fiery hot with his hair unfixed. They both look at my direction. William stared at me like he doesn't care I was there. The girl stayed his lap that makes me want to drag her away from him. I'm so hurt like i was being punched a million times. A tears started clouding in my eyes but I'm able to stop it from falling.

Controlling my emotions and fixing my composure. "Oh! i'm sorry for disturbing your awesome moments here Mr. Johnson. But, don't worry this won't take long." I said faking a smile while walking towards them.

"What do you mean?" He said while frowning and still sitting on his chair with the girl in his lap.

"I just wanted to give you this letter." I gave him the transfer letter.

"I won't accept your resignation Athena." He said giving me back the letter.

"You don't have to Mr. Johnson! That wasn't a resignation letter...I have to go now. Bye and sorry again for disturbing you. Enjoy!" Before I turned away i gave them a wink.

That was the nerve Athena! He fooled you again. He really is proving himself how total stupid and playboy he is and you don't need that Kind of man in your life.

I went inside the elevator. When i close the door i saw William catching up to me. Before he reached me, the elevator closed which makes me felt relieve.

When the elevator door opened at the basement, I went outside and stopped for a moment to search for my car keys in my bag. When I found it, William suddenly flashed in front of me. Catching his breath, he seemed running down from the stairs.

I frowned at him.

"Babe, please. just. listen. to. me. Please." He said in between his breath.

I rolled my eyes at him and walked past him towards my car. He really look like a mess up close, his eyes were dark from lack of sleep. His beard are started growing. His mouth smelt alcohol.

He grabbed me by my back and hugged me. "Babe, please forgive me. I.. I can't live without you. Please don't leave me."

I went silent first then I told him "I've been here before William. In this kind of situation...with Patrick. Being fooled, played and cheated by the one I love. It's hard, but i surpass it and I will again. I can't give you my forgiveness, but I will wish you luck in finding happiness with your life."

I pulled my self from his grip and walked on my car.

"Babe, you don't understand. I..I'm sorry. I'm stupid. I loved you so much. Babe please if you'll just let me explain everything." William said pleading. But I'm certain with my decision and I'm not changing it.
