CHAPTER 21: Maldives

Williams pov

After I witnessed Athena's engagement, I felt terrible. I didn't know she's in a relationship with Christian. I mean, how did it happened? I didn't know they knew each other. Christian didn't mention he's in a relationship with anyone when we met in California 2 months ago.

I'm a fan of Christian and we meet each other 2 years ago in the Olympics. I watched their game and our common friend introduced us and since then we became Good friends.

"Ms. Miller..is Draco haven't confirmed a meeting with me yet?" I was waiting for a call with my investor from London, Draco Montes.

I courted his father 1 year ago and he almost signed the contract with us but when his father accidentally died and passed his company to his only son Draco, the investment hold for another year.

Draco is a very irresponsible and stubborn young business man. I don't know how he keeps his business on top when he's always out of the country with his mistresses.

"His secretary said he's in Maldives until the day After tomorrow Mr. Johnson. She said he'll just call you when he has the time." I tried to keep my professional relationship with Athena since she's been an efficient secretary to me not to mention that she's very profescient. Though we have many conflicts, we make sure that it does not interfere with our professional relationship.

I sigh. "Okay. call James and tell him we'll fly to Maldives today."If Draco don't have the time to come and meet me, then I'll bring him my business proposal my self.

"Sorry Mr. Johnson?" She frown.

"Tell James we'll fly to Maldives today! Don't worry I'll make sure you'll get home tomorrow night or next morning just until we finished talking about business." I said in a bossy tone. She's my secretary, so she must come to me wherever I go when it comes to business.

"B-but...Mr. Johnson Maldives is 18hrs travel from here." I shut her raising my index finger then I focused reading the files on my laptop again. She just shrug her shoulders and went off.

After lunch we fly to Maldives with my private plane, I only use this in important meetings.

"Athena!? Let's go!" I turned to her and saw her amused expression seeing the plane. She's so cute whenever she's amused.

"Y-yes Mr. Johnson." She run catching up to me.

I was focused on my laptop doing some presentation for tomorrow's meeting with Draco Montes. I already talked to his secretary and informed her that I'll be going to Maldives to meet him.

Athena is seated on the other side of the plane also busy doing some presentation for the board meeting on Thursday.

Dorry the attendant came off and offered us a drink. It has been 5 hours that we are quietly seated and I'm already feeling my back numbing.

"How are you feeling Athena?" I closed my laptop and looked at her. I frown when I didn't get an answer. I called her once again and I realized she fell asleep in a seating position. I moved to the side of my seat to get closer to her. I removed the strands of her hair that covers her very beautiful small face and take the laptop she was holding. I make sure I didn't wake her up.

I reminisce our memories together. The ups and down that we had. When i dragged her out of the club once, i thought she got drunk because she was jealous of Sam. But maybe i was wrong, when i found out she's in a relationship with Christian. I don't know what to think anymore.
