"Natsume-sensei is the legendary gifted who was the core backer of the Detective Agency." Dazai explains while still on the phone with Junichiro. "He comes and goes, and his whereabouts are unknown. Rumor has it that his special ability is the most powerful of all, allowing him to see through anything."

"Interesting..." I mumble as my eyes connect with the balcony in which a calico cat appears. "Mii?" I question as I see the familiar cat.

"Dried sardines." Dazai mutters, spotting the dried fish in the cats mouth. He pulls the phone away from his head and ends the phone call. I walk over and open the window for the cat. He comes closer and drops the sardine into my hand.

"Thanks Mii." I tell the cat who bobs his head before running off. "What a cute cat." I say turning back around to face Dazai.

"Did he just nod at you?" Dazai wonders quizzically.

"Yeah, yeah he did. What is that strange or something?"

"No, I guess not..."

"Really? Cause you're acting a little suspicious. What are you gonna tell me that Mii is actually Natsume-sensei?"

"Yeah, actually. How'd you know?" Dazai says a bit shocked.

"He's way too smart to be a cat. And Mii is very similar to Natsume."

"I didn't expect you to be that smart."

"Rude!" I gasp. "I'm smart just in a very observative way, that's how I figured it out."

"Well, I'm proud of you. Now can I get a closer look at that sardine?"

"Yeah of course." I say walking over and placing the tiny fish into his hand. He rips the sardine open to reveal a flash drive.

Dazai got in touch with Akutagawa because we needed him for our next plan. I messaged Atsushi and Kunikida because we needed them as well. Our next plan was to go after the criminal with the virus ability to get him to stop it.

Dazai was released from the hospital and the plan began immediately. Kunikida picked us up in a semi-truck. Dazai, Atsushi, Akutagawa, and I were in the trailer portion of the truck prepping the two boys to work together.

"Let me go, Dazai!" Atsushi shouts displeased with this situation of having to work with Akutagawa. Dazai was holding both boys by the scruffs of their shirt collars. I watched the dispute from a box higher than where Dazai sat.

"Nope." Dazai grins smugly. "You two are going to start fighting with your special abilities again."

"But..." Atsushi complains as he sits up a bit more. Over dramatically Dazai reacts to Atsushi's movement guilt-tripping the poor boy.

"Ow, ow!" Dazai whines. "Please don't struggle so much. You're going to reopen the wound on my tummy."

"Osamu, stop over reacting." I say smacking the back of his head.

"Fynn!!!" He whines. "It really did hurt! Kiss it and make it feel better?"

"In your dreams." I huff turning away from him.

"Why is Akutagawa here for our retaliation mission to save the president?" Atsushi wonders.

"Because that's my plan." Dazai replies. "I'm going to have the two of you sneak into the enemy hideout together."

"Huh?" Atsushi breathes.

"The enemy base is in an old abandoned coal mine. It's several hundred kilometers wide. The interior is packed with sensors and traps to stop intruders. Our main target is the gifted who controls the virus. Unless we can disable his special ability, both bosses could die. Our secondary target is their leader, Fyodor."

"Isn't that all the more reason to keep him out of such an important mission? Akutagawa's hatred for me is beyond reason. There's no way the mission is going to pan out."

"Akutagawa's pretty obedient when Dazai is around." I comment. "For some reason he really looks up to him."

"Hey! Can you stop being so down on me?" Dazai retorts. "And you're my silent stalker so how is that any different??"

"Not the point. And we don't have time to talk about this. Continue with the plan." I state.

"Yeah, yeah. And so you say, Atsushi." Dazai continues before looking down at Akutagawa on his right. "Well?" He asks Akutagawa.

"I'll carry out the mission." Akutagawa states with a focused look on his face.

"It's been four years since you've been under my command, huh? I hope to see you a little more capable now."

"Yes, sir." Akutagawa grunts.

"You're actually Akutagawa, right?" Atsushi asks.

"Yeah."

"You're going to cooperate with me in battle?"

"Yeah."

"What did you have for dinner last night?"

"Yeah."

"Dude..." Atsushi sighs.

"See, pretty obedient." I joke.

----------------------------

Kunikida parked the semi-truck in the forest that surrounded the mine. The five of us got out of the truck and hid behind trees and bushes observing the guards stationed outside the mine. Talking quietly, we discussed the plan further, especially about how Atsushi and Akutagawa were getting inside.

"Look at all those guards." Atsushi whispers.

"They all have wireless communicators. If we fight, the enemy headquarters will know instantly." Dazai comments. "The sensor at the entrance is a countermeasure against Junichiro's illusion ability. Their vital signs are being sent to headquarters every minute. They'll know something is wrong if the guards so much as become excited or nervous."

"Weretiger, bear in mind two things." Akutagawa pipes up. "Fall behind, and I'll leave you behind. Get in my way, and I'll kill you. Understand?" He wonders before using Rashoumon to propel him over the trees to the top of the mine.

"He left you behind." Dazai smiles at Atsushi.

"I'm going, too." Atsushi says readying himself to sprint off.

"But, Atsushi, how are you going to..." Kunikida starts to say but Atsushi activates his weretiger ability. He pushes off, nothing but a blur of blue. Leaving just Kunikida, Dazai, and I. "He slid past the guards and the sensors." Kunikida comments surprised.

"We have to keep up." Dazai replies, turning back to look at Kunikida. "Let's get started." He smirks.
