Chapter 8

Flashback continues

The next day Saint went to school and was distracted. Pear noticed the change in Saint. So at the break Pear asked Saint what was wrong with him. At first Saint hesitated but decided it would be better to share everything with Pear. So he told her everything he saw and felt the previous day.
"I guess your dad loves you."
"I know that."
"Not that love you idiot. I guess he loves you as a man."
"How is it possible?? He is my dad."
"So what?? You aren't related by blood anyway. And I think you also have some feelings for him. I'm not sure though."
"What nonsense!! Why do you say so??"
"See as you said your heart was beating really fast when you discovered the portraits right?? It's a sign maybe. But we have to be sure."
"How??"
"Let's wait for a the perfect opportunity, ok??"
"Ok"

Zee returned from the business meeting but Saint was acting weird. Somehow distant. Zee didn't confront Saint just thought maybe now he should give him some privacy.

After a month the opportunity came. Another business meeting. Zee wanted to take Saint this time as usual. But as per Pear's suggestion Saint made an excuse to stay. Zee didn't force him and went for a week long business trip.

As soon as Zee left Saint started to feel empty. He brushed it off thinking he was used to Zee being around so he's feeling lonely. The lonely feeling worsen day by day. On the 3rd day Saint was watching TV as he was bored to death. Suddenly a news caught his attention. One of the most eligible bachelor business tycoon Zee Pruk isn't bachelor anymore?? He's getting engaged with the daughter of her business partner?? The news also showed the pictures of Zee and a woman together eating in a restaurant and also laughing together at a party.
Saint's breath hitched. He couldn't believe what he saw. He immediately called Pear.
"Did you see the news today??"
"No what happened??"
"That witch.... She is seducing dad. How dare she??"
"My my... Is our baby Saint jealous??"
"No I'm not." Huffed Saint
"And also why did you blame the girl?? Maybe your dad is trying to woo her... After all your dad is purely single."
"Noooo... My dad isn't like that."
"See Saint you can't bear to see him with anybody else. You really have feelings for him."
"I-i-i...."
Saint disconnected the call. After a sleepless night of thinking he finally admitted he really loves Zee more than a father.
Saint confronted Zee as soon as he returned home. Zee just laughed and said," don't worry.. noone can take your place in my life as well as in my heart."

Saint was on cloud nine after hearing this.... After that he also knew he had become more clingy to Zee and subconsciously started acting coquettishly around him. But Zee never protested or scold him for that which encouraged him more.
Flashback ends

Saint was crying his heart out remembering all of these. What a joke!! The portraits that helped him realise his feelings those weren't his in the first place. How fool he was!! Every affection every word of Zee is now seeming like acting to him... Slowly Saint fall asleep sobbing.

Zee's p.o.v.

Did I really misled him to have unusual feelings for me?? Now that my prince is hurting so much is this caused by my foolishness?? How do I tell him those are the portraits of his father I painted when I was in Australia and missed him too much. But that loneliness was long gone when this little prince came in my life. I should've thrown those pictures. But I couldn't. Not because I still have feelings for him but because I respect him and think him as my brother. I had never thought he would get a wrong indication from those paintings. And about the second thing that noone can replace him I guess that was when-

Flashback starts

I had a very important business trip but Saint said he couldn't accompany me as he had to work for a school project. I was glad that he was so concerned about his studies. However when I reached my business partner said he had to go to some other country due to a family emergency and his daughter is handling the project so she would contact me. We met at a restaurant to discuss the project. Then she offered to be my companion for the business party in the evening as I didn't have anyone. I accepted her offer as it would be great to make a new friend and also I couldn't have attended a business party without a companion. I also met her boyfriend before the party and we became friends real quick. They were really nice couple and very friendly. However what I didn't expect is the media to create a rumour of us. We wanted to clarify but her dad said the rumour is increasing our stock price which is beneficial for our project. So we decided to just let that be and after a few days they would get engaged and announce it anyway.
I returned home without clarifying the situation. What I didn't expect is to Saint to confront me. I guessed he was insecured if I get married then he would be neglected or something like that. But it was not like that. So I assured him so that he didn't have any doubt that I would abandon him someday. To assure him I said, "don't worry.... Noone can take your place in my life as well as in my heart."

Flashback ends

I never knew he was confronting me not because he feared I would abandon him but because he was jealous... If I could guess it I wouldn't say him like that. I could feel he was getting clingy and also coquettish but all I thought that was pubertal change and always ignored that... What have I done?? Now what should I do to make everything alright??

[So guys that was all about Saint realising his feelings and Zee's reason of acting like that. Now they have reached a point where their life can turn in any way.
