The first thing Lin felt before coming to...was this numb feeling. It felt like the feeling he'd gotten after his first few shots, but this was different. Then, he heard scattered voices. But all he could see was darkness.

So this is what unconscious feels like, Lin thought. For a guy who fights through fatigue, he has never passed out or lost consciousness before.

Then, he saw a light glare in his eyes. He started to...float towards it. Then, he was blinded by the glowing light and he...fluttered his eyes open, to see...the crew all standing before him, smiling and crying.

"H-Hey...w-what happened?", Lin asked, looking in everybody's eyes, but mainly Pip's eyes.

The group gave him a group hug and all sighed in relief. Lin hugged back but winced because of a sharp pain on his side.

The nurse walked in and saw the group. "Hello, everybody!! Goodness, I'm sorry, I am a huge Hamilton fan and I appreciate you're guys' performance, it was amazing!!", she said giddily.

"And you...the guy who made it happen. Wow, Lin-Manuel Miranda. It is an honor to meet you and your amazing friends", the nurse continued, "Oh! I am so sorry, um, Mr. Miranda...you are not in any critical condition, although you did lose some blood on the way here, the bullet only grazed your side, and thankfully it didn't cause any internal bleeding or puncturing of your organs. Anyways, Mrs. Soo and Mr. Diggs are awake now, they just had a slight concussion that wasn't major."

Lin smiled and was surprised when the nurse hugged him. He hugged back, smiled, and she left...right after hugging the rest of the cast members.

Lin was then bombarded with questions from the crew, until Leslie said, "Woah!! Back away, the man just woke up, give him some air."

"It's okay, Leslie. As long as I'm not dying or in any critical condition, I'm fine.", Lin said. But, he noticed that Leslie sounded a bit...drunk.

"Heh, Leslie, I think you need some help.", Lin joked.

But, then...Lin caught the eye of one of his friends. Anthony. "Anthony, you okay, bro?", he asked. Anthony nodded but Lin knew he was lying. "Hey, guys, can me and Anthony have some...alone time, por favor."

They all nodded and left, leaving Lin and Anthony in the room. Anthony burst into tears, shouting, "OH MY GOD, MAN!! OF COURSE I'M NOT OKAY, BRO!! YOU COULD'VE DIED!! IF YOU DIED LIKE THAT, I WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF!! YOU'RE THE REASON I'M HERE, MAN!! I'M JUST SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY!!"

Lin hugged Anthony and said, "Hey. Look at me, amigo. I'm here, right? I'm still alive. I'm breathing. That's all that matters. So, don't be worried or scared, okay? I wasn't the reason you're here, Anthony. You are. You climbed to the top. You got out of a life of violence and negativity and achieved your dreams. Not me...you."

Anthony smiled and hugged Lin again, and the crew came back in. They all talked until Lin heard a familiar voice.

"Lin... are you okay?" It was Phillipa.

Tears streamed down his face and Phillipa made eye contact with her boyfriend. They both cried and Phillipa went to hug her boyfriend. "O-oh my Lord!! Thank God you're okay!!", Phillipa said. They all had a group hug and Daveed, who felt better, got out his phone and took a perfect selfie of the Hamilcast.

Then, Lin...decided today was the day...so, he grabbed Pip's hand. He managed to get off the bed and sat up.

"Phillipa Soo. You are the angel of my heart. The light of my darkness. The shoulder I can cry on. The one I can count on. I don't have a ring, all I have is my love for you...but, I ask of you, Mrs. Hamilton...will you be my bride? Will you...marry me?"

Everybody cheered and Phillipa hugged Lin and said the words he's been saying inside, "Yes", she whispered.

Every single fiber of joy emitted from Lin and it seemed like the entire hospital was happy because of the news.

"Hey, guess what?", Jasmine joked, "I guess we gonna have to get married on the same day." Everybody laughed but Lin told them that the wedding will be later, which makes sense.
