*JAYS POV*

It was 8:00 and I decided to and knock for Tara to walk to school with. I didn't quite know what exact number her house was, but two where for sale and now both where sold so I'm guessing it was one of them. I took a guess and chose the nearest one. as soon as I did, I saw Tara stepping out of the house. "Sorry" I shouted to the door I just knocked on.
"Hey! Tara!"
She turned around, "hey Jay" she giggled to herself noticing that "hey" and "jay" rhymed. "Hey um, later today in the afternoon I won't be able to show you around. I have to go to an 'appointment'" she frowned and looked up at me. "awh why?"
"Um for er stuff" was my lousy reply.
"Jay, you can tell me stuff, ya know? You can trust me."
"Ok. well my brother, Jacob, was like my bestfriend and when he died the world ended for me. I became depressed after his funeral and my mum was concerned so she sent me to this therapist to make me feel happy or something. Don't get me wrong, I'm better now and a lot happier but my mum still make me go."
"Oh.." she replied, "I'm sorry, I didn't know."
"It's ok..."
As soon as I blinked I felt delicate hands pulling me by the waist over to the pavement. I opened my eyes to find Tara hugging me, burying her head into my chest. She stood up on tiptoe so she could whisper in my ears, "I'm sorry, Jay. I'll be here for you, whenever you need me, I'll be there"
"Thanks, I mean it." I smiled and felt a tiny tear in my eye. no one had ever been this nice to me. never ever before. me and Tara moved out of the darkness and started to walk to school. my first lesson was history which I hated most, not just because of how crazily boring it was, but because of the people in the class.
Joey and Charlie.
Somehow at sometime I had upset them and made them hate me. I don't get why, or when. they just do.

I'd just dropped Tara off at music and now I was walking to history. I sat down on an empty table only to get joe and Charlie sit either side of me.
"Hey, look it's JayJay." Charlie sneered but I ignored him.
"Aw JaYJay giving us the silent treatment?" was the answer Joe replied with.
Then, they took it too far.
"Aw maybe he's thinking about he's stupid brother again."
"Don't say that." I hissed.
They carried on.
Eventually I grabbed my bags and stormed out the classroom.
"Mr Brooks, where do you think your going?"
I'm not even gonna attempt to lie.
"Home."
"You can't do that, Jay"
"I'm sorry sir, but, watch me."
I walked out the classroom, down the stairs and ran through the door that lead to the playground. I looked around. the gate was open which meant there was a P.e group on the AstroTurf. I darted out and ran for freedom. I ran home and changed clothes. I grabbed a snack and my skateboard and ran out again. I skate to the church where Jacob was buried. I sat down on the green next to him.
"Hey bro." I said.
"Life's getting better, slowly. it sucks quite a lot tho, Charlie and Joe and all.

But there's this girl though."

"Jay?! Is that you?!" I turned in panic.
