This has been the longest day of my life. Spitting the toothpaste from my mouth I rinsed out the toothbrush before leaving the bathroom. They were still talking downstairs.

"Do you think we can trust her?" Vanya said as I leant over the railing above the stairs.

"She did change her mind pretty quickly about helping us." Luther went on to say. Ungrateful bastards.

"She could have killed us or left us to die. She's fine."

"Well weather we trust her or not I need sleep."
Walking away to my bedroom I made sure the six of them heard. it had been a long time since I'd had a decent sleep so going back to my room and shutting the door I went to bed.

....

It wasn't morning when I woke. Water was needed, my throat was dry and it made me uncomfortable. It had only been a few hours but everyone was asleep well everyone apart from preppy boy. Unless he enjoys sleeping standing up outside. Going to the kitchen and fill a glass I chugged down the first lot before filling a second one. Bringing it with me outside along with another glass I passed it to preppy boy.

"I never got your name. Although I do enjoy the nickname I've given you." He didn't look back to me just out at the backyard. You couldn't see far unless you were looking up at the sky.

"Five." He breathed out before having a mouthful of water. " I thought I knew everything about time travel but I have been wrong before." Letting out a short laugh I shook my head.

"Never thought I'd hear a cocky bastard such as yourself admit to being wrong." His mouth parted for a moment as he smiled.

"I'm not cocky I just know when I'm right. Which is most of the time." Shaking my head I didn't bother arguing with that. Having some more water my head tilted up looking at the sky.

"You didn't ask any questions before. Any reason for that?" Finishing my glass I placed it on the railing.

"Why didn't you save your parents? You had the watch and the date." Biting my lip I almost choked on air. Clenching my fists together my body went stiff.

"I tried. Like I said bad things happen to those who mess with the timeline."

I didn't know what I was doing. This watch took me to 2007 so why not back here? The night my parents died. Then all of this doesn't have to happen. It'll all go back to normal, right?
It was half an hour before they got here. I was in my room upstairs when this happened. Knocking on the door dad answered, when seeing me he was confused. It had been three weeks for me since that day. Grabbing him in a hug I started to cry.

"Hun who's at the..." Mum stopped when seeing me at the door with dad. "(Y/n) sweetheart what's wrong. I thought you were upstairs." She came over removing the hair that covered my face.

"Yeah, I uh just stepped out." That's when dad noticed my watch.

"This is." They looked to one another.

"I explained what was going to happen and yet." Letting out a shaky breath a tear rolled down my cheek. "They knew if they lived we'd not make it far. At most only two of us could travel with the watch and that can mess up the brain." Pausing for a moment I bit my lip. "You know what the worst thing of it all. I had to listen to my parents get shot for the second time and couldn't do anything about it."
There was a moment of hesitation but five pat my shoulder kinda awkwardly. This just made me let out a laugh. "Thanks for that." Breathing that out he moved back once more.

"I was in the apocalypse for 30 years alone with no way to save my family." Thinking about it I did have heard about a hitman that survived the apocalypse while I snuck into Mobius.

"That's rough." Five hummed in agreement. "Now that I think of it why are you out here?"

"I drew the short straw on the bed situation. That and Luther is a loud snorer." I tapped the railing letting out a short laugh.

"Come on then." Stepping back taking the glass he raised an eyebrow at me.

"What?" sighing while opening the door I put a hand on my hip.

"I'll make a makeshift bed in my room."

....

The next morning it was only just past 7 when I woke. Five was still asleep, letting out a yawn I changed before heading down for a coffee. To my surprise when making the coffee with the expensive machine my dad brought Luther didn't wake up.
Here the sound of a knife being stabbed into the tree in the backyard I walked out seeing Diago throwing knives.

"Good morning. Having fun stabbing that tree." He looked over at me before walking off to grab the knives.

"You really think this place will keep us hidden?" Sitting down on the steps I looked at the large cup of coffee.

"I don't think, I know. I've been doing this for a long time." He pointed a knife at me.

"What running away?" Raising an eyebrow I sipped my coffee not caring he held a knife towards me.

"I don't run I hide to make sure fewer people get hurt and they always do when they get involved."

My body fell to the floor with a thud. Letting out a cry the wet pavement surprised me although the last thing on my mind.

My parents. Standing with a sniff my hands were shaking.
"Deary are you alright?" It was an older woman. Her hair was starting to grey from the roots. She saw the tears on my cheeks.

"My parents they... I." She helped me to stand.

"Let's get you inside. It's about to rain again." We were right in front of her place.

I stayed overnight because I wasn't able to talk. Although not being able to sleep the whole time on the second day I'd managed to eat some food. That's she Dorothy called child services.

"Her name is (y/n). I think she fought with her parents.... age oh uh 14 or maybe 15." And only ten minutes later they came. Storming into the house killing her. Everyone I've been around the past seven years has died because I've got a glowing target along my chest.
